I'd be much more willing to change my outlook if I saw a notable marketing campaign for Bayo 2 than seeing high reviews. Far as I've seen advertising has a much more significant effect on overall sales than any reviews can (on average). The only hope Bayo 2 could have is some amazing word of mouth but only being on WiiU limits how much benefit you can get from that.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Sales wise, there's absolutely no doubt in my mind that it will flop, just like hyrule warriors.

It will get released, drop out of Top 15 the very next week, and within a month be forgotten by all except some WiiU fans and critics when considering GOTY.
It has a very good chance to win GOTY, which could then give it a second life. But without a solid award performance, it will flop...

With many other major releases coming soon, I wouldn't be surprised if that happened.

The intriguing question is whether or not Bayo2 will have legs.

First Bayo had no legs.

However, given that most WiiU owners don't have competing alternative titles available to them, they may still end up buying this game 1, 2, even 3 years from now.

The fact that many Ninty games have great legs I don't think has anything to do with the games themselves, but how Big N positions them to the customer base.

Based on it's performance on Amazon's most sold games of 2014 (not Amazon hourly!), I believe its undertracked

If it´s already flopping in Japan, isn´t it?

Any way, no Meta can save the game from the terrible character design and nich nature of the genere.

Just look at God of War, MGR Revengance and DMC numbers.

It dosen´t matter if your film is the next Godfather when public want more Transformers.

Wait what? Why would you compare it to GOW? Almost every game oustide of the HD remakes have sold very well(heck Orgins is sitting at 1.97mil if I am not mistaken minus digital of course).....DMC(the new one anyway) and MGR Revengance I can understand though.

OT:

Well I still don't think it will sell enough to make up for it's budget lifetime. Doesn't change the fact that it loosk like a great game though!!!

But how many, what time slots, what channels?  I mean having some ads is great, and will keep it from being a total unknown like Ar Nosurge, but unless it gets the kind of advertising that one of Nintendo's mainstays gets (like SSB on 3DS which I keep seeing ads for) I don't think they'll be able to propel it into non-flopitude.

But aren't the games with the "great legs" MOSTLY(not all) big Nin games? And most games like this don't really sell well on Nin systems...but I guess time will tell. Just seems like while this game looks amazing the userbase/audience on the Wii U will not do it justice.

In all cases such as profits and volumes, Bayonetta 2 will indeed flop no matter what the reviewers say ...

I don't get why people try to use Amazon sales as proof of anything. Amazon is a fraction of overall sales. It's not indicative of anything.
