Um only 8th perect score ever from Gamespot. So it has a HUGE chance to be GOTY there. And the only game that could pose a serious threat most places now would be Dragon Age. I find this attitude, which is highly prevalent these days, to be very interesting. Your GOTY is a game that you haven't played yet......?

 

I mean I admire the confidence but it makes little sense to me to play down a game that you haven't played (which incidentally is getting some great reviews) for another game haven't played yet.

 

I can appreciate that you may feel confident that Bayo is not your kind of game but when discussing GOTY awards we are generally talking about more than one's personal opinion.

Play the first game first, it's also a fantastic game and will make playing the second game more satisfying. If you liked what you were playing in the Bayo 2 demo, you'll enjoy playing the first one as well.

The game can't maintain 60fps as well Bayonetta 1 did on the 360, so how is it perfect? :^)

My vote for GOTY is TLoU Remastered, even though it's a remaster, doesn't take away how much enjoyable the game is, specially for first timers.

But Bayo 2 will be a strong contender :)

The Last of Us: Remastered is still at 95. It just means that the great devs haven't released anything this year.

Its not like they could give it a lower score than the original, that would just be weird. If anything it didn't even need to be re-reviewed.


Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition got a lower score compared with the last gen version.

Sleeping dogs is a game that came out a few years ago, didnt exactly sell very well or light the gaming world on fire . Last of us is a golden child that had only released the year before and is currently untouchable for fear of backlash, no way it was going to get lower scores.

And there is no way it can get GOTY this year, doesnt matter if it's great for first timers, every great game is great for first timers.

I'm sure the game is great and the art design is superb, but on a technical level, from what I've seen so far, it looks like a 2010 PS3 game. Very dissappointing...

Well, Bayo2 is much prettier than original Bayo. And PS3 couldn't handle even Bayo 1 properly. So - YOU"RE BUSTED!

Bayonetta looked like shit on PS3 due to a horrendous port, not the console's capability. Bayo2 sure looks better, but still not good enough for a  2014 game on a 2012 console. YA BURNT!
