Yeah, hoping for a return to the core of the first :) they are probably trying to build awareness / hype around the new game with this (+dlc money)

I've playd DA:O a stupid amount on PS3, can't say no to a freebie on PC, got Peggle 2 already on Origin, I'll get 3 too. Never bought any game from Origin.
... now if only they'd hurry up and email me my password reminder email... I never remember.
Hmm, pie.

Played it at a friends house, i'm too much of an oldschool CRPG player to like what they did to it.. |
"Hack-and-slash"? I played both games the exact same way, as a tactical game, by pausing and switching characters continuously. I suppose you could play DA2 as a hack-and-slash game but I didn't want to, so I didn't. In terms of pure combat, DA2 was much improved over DA:O.
The main differences are on the RPG side and the fact that they were rushed and reused environments to death. Variety is seriously lacking.
For anyone who liked the combat of DA:O I very much recommend DA2. Just know that you're going to need to start on a hard difficulty. Normal is for people who haven't played a DA type game.
I also liked the story in DA2 much more, though that's relative.
Already have DA:O with all the DLC I believe, but thanks anyway! Free stuff is generally nice to have.

They had DLC if i'm not mistaken, probably why they give it away for free to see if people will buy the DLC. |
I fucked up. I got all the DA:O DLC. I meant Bejeweled.

Know it's pretty old games but DAO still holds up imo. |
I'm gonna get it. I have DAO and DA2 on PS3, and I got DA2 for PC off my brother. Having both games on PC means if I want to play them again in the future I won't have to suffer the interminable PS3 loading times. Sadly the PC version of Inquisition is out of reach because my PC does not have the necessary specs. So I'm hoping loading times are much less on PS4. However with much bigger areas there will be less frequent area transitions I'm hoping.

My thinking was, that because I've played it loads on PS3, I could have a different experience if I installed some mods on there on PC. Might be fun.
Cheers, eitherway, I'll look into them later.
