In my opinion you defend this game way too much.  I like this game, but its ok to admit it has flaws and that is coming from a Bungie fan.

It have flaws... the loot system is not one of them.

People are just a bit mad because they want to play the game but it is not what they like to play... it is weird but it is exactly what it is... so they try to find issues where there is none like they want the game to be other game... that is weird.

THe loot system certainly was one of them.  There should never have been Rare's coming from legendaries, and it should never have taken them this long to update it to fix that.  I've had 7 legendary drops.  6 of them turned into Rare, and 1 of them was legendary.....but for a class I dont even use.  All my armor comes from me buying them.  You understand that a lot of people arent going to play months on end, but will only play for the first few weeks of the game's life if they arent happy.  And then removing the loot cave, that people liked probably wasnt the best idea either.

The drop rate itself is/was fine.  Its what came out of them that wasnt

The loot system is one of the most smart I even see in these type of games.

1. It doesn't alianate good from bad players.
2. It doesn't alianate where you play the game... PVP, PVE, Public Evens, Strikes, etc... everything can get better gears playing what they like/want.
3. There are not only a unique way to get better gears... you can do a lot of different stufs and get the gears... it is not RNG like people says... the drop is but you can buy the gears via Crucible/Vangard/Faction marks... so you have alternatives.
4. It don't make you play a specific place/boss to get better gears... you play/kill any enemie in the game and get better gears.
5. The gears are progressive... you get better gears when you level up... most gears are in a range close to your level.

It is fair and well made... everybody benificiates from it... bad or good players had something that the other play didn't... from casual to hardcore.

Your example just show you choose to use the loot system from gridding... if you choose that you need to deal with the RNG... it is your choice... and until lvl 24 you get less Legendary because you don't need them yet (you need to level up your Rare gears first).

No, people are mad because they excluded stuff from the game that is already done, the loot system screwed you over, the horrible balance in multiplayer that becomes instadeath the game, shallow AI,  and that there isnt much to do at launch but replay the same missions over and over with different difficulties.

Even with all that i think its a great game, but i played cooperatively.  If you play by yourself then its not going to be near as much fun.  In my opinion its a social game

Show me proof of the excluded content... it is not even finished lol

PVP is the most balanced in any FPS I played... it is so much balanced... any weapon or level you will be good on PVP... there are weapons for non-skilled playes (Auto Rifle, etc) and skilled playes (shutgun, fusion rifle, etc)... the super are balanced and you can deal easy with them... nobody have advantage over the other... you can kill anybody with any weapon or class if you good in PVP... it works for casual players and skilled players... at the end what matter is only your own skill... that for me is balance and not games that give you better weapons than othes so your gears matters more than skills.

I don't understand the content part because just doing the unique things there are game for 30 hours without touching the PVP... it is close to impossible to finish the game, do all strikes, raid, etc at least one time without play ~30 hours.

It is a social game and it is the biggest flaw... it lacks social ingame features... that is something that Bungie needs to work and fix... not the loot system or PVP... the game needs proximity voice chat, ingame text chat, easy way to invite friends, Clan ingame support, better friends lists, etc.

There was cutscenes revealed a year ago that were excluded as well as a recent patch that revealed that stuff was locked on the disc.

really?  Im sorry but ive played plenty of multiplayer games over the years and id easily mark this as the most unbalanced multiplayer ive ever seen.  How in the world anybody could say this is balanced is beyond me

PS Fusion rifle, and shotgun are def not skilled weapons.  Theyre a part of the reason the game is unbalanced

Well that explains why I've only got one Legendary. Still only Lvl 23.

This video is funny.

The weapon is amazing in PVE but it balanced in PVP and what make it players so good in Crucible is the guy behind it... he is one so much skilled... he is in the top Crucible players.

Try to play like him with the Vex Mythoclast in Crucible and you will see you won't have half of the success.

This guy play good even with bad weapons lol

And no... Shutgun and Fusion are not unbalanced... you die from these weapons because you are not skilled enough... I have a hard time to die from both... I dance in front of fusion rifles and the enemie most can touch me with it and the shutgun if it can't get near you it is useless.

The Bladerunner super that most guys things is OP it is not... the guy using it became so much defenseless... there are dozen of tatics to kill him if you don't get desesperate from the easy Rocke Launcher to just avid it jumping and shoting his head.

BTW I can't wait to play the unbalanced PVP in Destiny.

Iron Banner is coming.

I need to level up my gears for Crucible to be competitive... I just didn't do that before because it won't change anything but for Iron Banner you can't be competitive without better and stronge gears.
