I always knew a western release of the new Fatal Frame on WiiU would always be a long shot but a tweet Koei Tecmo has made still hurts nonetheless.

Hopefully this just means no localisation is planned at the present time and we may see it happen in the future. Fingers crossed.

I know it really wont sell more than a few 100k in the West, but I strongly believe Nintendo cant be so picky with its current software lineup. Any game released for the WiiU helps.

The game doesnt need to sell big to justify its localisation, but rather sell enough to be profitable (whatever that number may be).

So, has this tweet shattered your hopes like it did mine, or are there still some threads of hope to cling on to?

(A) They said "as far we know", meaning it's not up to them, it's up to the publisher: Nintendo. This is not a confirmation that it's not coming.

(B) Nintendo once said they had "no plans" to bring Xenoblade to North America, and look how that turned out.

This is not the end, it's just the next stage of the battle.

Why do they keep games in JP?
What story or language is that, that it can't be translated to Eng,Fr or Ger?

Is it monetary issues? Or just mistrust in the game capability to sell in the West?
