Anyone know what countries are picking up the slack? PS3 had a bad launch in Japan because of stock but to be ahead of PS2 means there must be some countries that have really grown

i would say middle east has atleast a little to do with it. gaming here is becoming bigger and bigger. the older generations who grew with PS1 and PS2 are still buying consoles for the most part, and new generations are also coming in. CoD and specially Fifa are huge here as well. 

Yeah its way ahead of PS2, Asia must be a pretty big market now

also, i guess we know a lot of where those 10 million sales are coming from. so much for that 10 million number not being true.

That is good news, I always like to hear about growing markets.  Now I really hope we get a release date for PS4 in CHina and see how that goes.

Pretty good, but it makes sense as Asia and other countries are much bigger markets now than when the PS2 launched. Similarly this doesn't mean a whole lot without hard figures.

A good trend however.

Which makes me wonder why everyone is thinking China will go Xbox when they release there. Literally every country in the world (where they're both released) is going Playstation right now.
