It is crap. Like the other person said, people have been saying that for 5 years already, and I can see them continue to chat crap for another 5 years when Sony WILL still be around and PS4 will still be leading and they will also have successful phones and cameras, and a handheld too.

If you are so confident, do you want to bet on it?

They are in debt, but not all companies that are in debt are in trouble. If hundreds of other companies are willing to work with Sony rather than abandoning ship (like they do in most cases with companies in this much debt), I dont see why I should believe someone on a forum saying they are in trouble.

The truth is, you don't want to believe it. Because you are pro-Sony, you want to believe that everything is rosy and perfect for them.

The situation is actually the opposite. People want to believe Sony will go bankrupt as they have done for years. Its evident whose beliefs are wrong.

They are in trouble whether you want to believe it or not. That doesn't necessarily mean they'll go bankrupt, but don't let the PS4's sales fool you, Sony's hurting right now.

Sony's prices on their smartphone are ludicrous. 500 w/o contract? Do they think they are Apple? All Sony phones are running on android. It's not even a proprietary OS. If you look up LG Volt on best buy website which is near on par with Galaxy S3...the price pretty much speaks for its self. With these prices...Sony needs to drop the smartphone market. They stand no chance with competition.

This is the problem with sony. They are not just a gaming company like nintendo.
And i dont think Mircosoft is in trouble..... They are microsoft.
So people has to think that these things can affect the gaming side to the company. At least all of my tvs are from sony, and my phone is the xperia z1.

They invested a lot of money on marketing for the World cup and there are still remnants of their lost PC division. Not too mention they need money to promote their Smartphones too and it takes money to do so. Let's see from the same point of view that MS "lost" 2,5B dollars for acquiring Mojang. Sony "lost" all this money promoting their stuff and making it better.

What the hell? lmao.

Ms hasnt "lost" anything.  They "spent" $2bn in cash from the $100bn cash reserves they have to buy mojang and now has an asset of 2bn on its books.

Its not remotely similar and is a perverse comparison based on ignorance of anything to do with accountancy and business.

So you're saying that those billions won't be reported when they post their financial results?

...Let the Sony Domination continue with the PS4...

wow... so now that i'm right, people are putting words in my mouth?

All I said is that they are not going to do bankrupt and apparently thats the same as me claiming theres no trouble or that things are 'perfect and rosy'.

Nice... expected nothing less from vgchartz users.

edit: actually youre ok since I did say theres no 'trouble'.. but I meant trouble in terms of their existence which the original debate was about.

You missed the point. Because of you're pro-Sony, you choose not to believe the company could ever go under. Nobody could convince you, you would put your fingers in your ears and refuse to believe it.

I've alredy acknowledged that its possible that it will.

All im saying is that when it does in 10, 15, 20, 30 or even more years time, everyone making claims about bankruptcy from now dont really have a case.

Its like saying the world will end (which one day it will), but that doesnt mean you should believe all the doomsday prophecies whcih claim it will end soon.

I guess that would depend. If they go bankrupt in 10 years from now as a result of problems that haven't even occurred yet, then yeah. On the other hand, if their eventual shutdown is the direct result of the events in motion now, they'd have a case.

So let me get this straight; people who support or prefer either Nintendo or MS or both want Sony to go under so that they can rise above the PS4? That is really petty. How about rising on own merits?
