Out of the 10 million consumers that have purchased a PS4 more than 5 million people are active PsPlus subscribers. This was announced during the IFA press conference in Berlin by no other than Kazuo Hirai. 

Another numbers was mentioned. 53 million users around the world use the psplus, video/music unlimted or another Sony service.

Thats good for Sony. Im sure its the same for Xbox One. I bet a higher percentage of Xbox One owners have live

That's a great accomplishment, and a great value for gamers.
I expect them to add hundreds of thousands more next week...

That's a significant increase compared to what they had before.

maybe it will go down (percentage wise ofc)

right now u have many hardcore gamers on board.

later u will get more cheap shooter and casuals who spend less money and time on gaming

So it is the same for PS3... about half of the users have Plus.

That means online paywall didn't increased the addoption.

It's not a great achievement for anyone but Sony. The numbers are up because you need to pay for online gaming now, not because it's a "great value". Not that you don't get lots of good games for the price, but many gamers are fine without those games and just want to play their COD against their friends and now they need to pay.
