Metro: Last Light is bad? Weird, its the best single player FPS I've played in a while. I just bought the redux versions despite finishing the game recently. I must have really bad taste. Oh well, let the "fun police" dictate what is and isn't fun.

Who knows better what do you think is fun? Me or you? Me, of course.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Last Light has good stealth mechanics (throwing knives, taking out lights and lamps, stealth skills). It has some of the best atmosphere in games and the graphics are amazing (PC version). Each gun feels unique, traps and grenades actually serve a purpose beyond just looking flashy. The game has nice scenarios and "boss fights". It has an engaging story, good level design and fantastic pacing. Its story is also decent. The mask mechanic seems gimmicky at first but it later adds a nice sense of urgency. Learning cure? This game isn't hard or difficult to understand at all. Grabbing attention? Grabbed mine. FUN? Fuck this word, it should be banned because people throw it around left, right and center even though it cant be gauged or measured. I enjoyed the game, so I guess it was "fun" for me. Unless there are other awesome single player shooters that I'm not aware of, this is the closest we've gotten to Half Life 3. I'm not joking. So really saying you don't like it is one thing (a fair point) but calling it "bad" is bullshit. Not your thing definiately but bad? No, not even close.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

Funny, sounds amazing in the way you described, but I hated so much, played for 30 minutes and it seems like it was forever.

I have fun with every game genre.

Except FPS. I don't know why. Kinda makes me feel like my brain is a useless organ when I play. Even more than shmups.

Watch playthroughs of later levels and see if that changes your mind. If not then the game just isnt for you.

I can replace FPS with pretty much any other genre and say the exact same thing.

Especially JRPGs.

Where as bad FPS games sell millions easily, but only the best JRPGs sell over a million. This was his point, that people buy FPSs whether they're good or not. Not many people buy bad JRPGs.

fixed

I mean that JRPGs actually have to be good to get any kind of success. I get that they're not as popular, but that is irrelevant. Only good JRPGs succeed, mediocre and up FPSs will 9 times out of 10 be successful.

I asked yesterday. Name one mediocre FPS that made it to the top.

The primary focus of a FPS game is it's mechanics.

Titanfall has basically no story to it. However, it controls super good. Addictive.

I mean financially successful. No mediocre games can make it to the top because good games are in the way. Do FPSs even have different mechanics. You can't say that the entire genre has good mechanics and then say that's the reason individual games are good.

Many gamers nowadays have horrible taste. That's why devs keep feeding it to us.

Not entirely their fault though. Such is the age of a media centric generation.

I'd agree that a lot of FPSs are bad. But for every bad FPS, there's a Bioshock, Metro, Farcry, Titanfall, Borderlands, Deus Ex, etc...
