The funny thing is, despite him wanting the game to bomb just because is "3ds" nd not "vita", who's to say they continue the franchise?

he (and others tht want it on vita desperately) should realize that vita sales of Senran Kagura were definitely high due to the anime airing at the time of its release. Dooming the game might backfire cuz who's to say the game will come out with another installment???

This aint Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, etc if they put on a different platform and it fails they could easily put it back on anther -_-

Its just Senran Kagura, a niche weird (not gonna say the rest) type of game. Oh well

It's kinda foolish to think this is the only reason whenever the platform has a ton of niche games that do well. Estival Versus is coming out relatively soon, so we'll have a better idea on that.

Folks, the new Senran Kagura was announced for Playstation systems months ago. It's gonna be premiered at TGS or on Sept. 1st if we're lucky, Takaki's teased it already.

And the anime was bad, it didn't lift SV jackshit. Senran Kagura 2 sold less because it is an inferior game on inferior hardware, even GAF admits it. People ain't paying the same price for lower quality, that's basic marketing knwoledge.

so explain me Monster Hunter and RE: Revelations

Y'all really don't know how to respond to ryuzaki.

Senran Kagura 2 now needs more than half a year to match Shinobi Versus FW sales at current pace. I hope Marvelous got the message, it can't be clearer than that.

The message is clear: they need to move to ioS

There is already a mobile title called "New Wave" for the series.  Not an action game, more to do with cards.

The problem isn't even that the Vita version outsold it by an order of magnitude.  It's that the franchise seemed to be growing with every instalment, and now with SK2 it's cratered back down to lower numbers than the first game on 3DS.

Maybe it's just a sign that the franchise is done.  In which case, EV on whichever PlayStation platform it's coming on will bomb too.  But there's not really much of a logical explanation for why a franchise staying on the same platform can go from 50k -> 69k -> 46k without there being some other factor at play.  Maybe the fanbase has moved, but it's weird.

Yeesh, depending on the numbers hyrule warriors may not breach 100k even with next week's sales.

Why do some people need to see every-game in their preferred gaming device. It's quite clear that those type of games can perform better on the PSV. Let it flop on the 3DS. Who can honestly say that 3DS will miss the loved franchise if it goes elsewhere?

Monster Hunter is not inferior per se, it's inferior to what it could potientally be on Vita. MH4 is on par with PSP versions on comparable hardware, so the situtation is different.

For Revelations, the console versions sold a large amount even though it was one year and half after the 3DS version, which shows that's there's a demand for better quality. Btw, Capcom has abandonned 3DS as a relevant platform for RE.
