When will they stop testing the waters on the wii?

Resident evil 4(remake,port)
Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure(low budget game)
Okami(port)
resident evil 0(remake,port)

The only game Im happy about is monster hunter 3

When it stops working and people finally wise up that it's a plot to get people to buy games that have had limited work put into it?

That's be my pessimistic guess anyway.

I don't people buying RE4 on the Wii convinced Capcom that Wii owners will buy noncasual games. I think it convinced Capcom Wii owners will buy minimal effort rehashed last gen games that they can sell for easy money. Next, we'll be seeing the PS2 version of Devil May Cry and Viewtiful Joe for the Wii.

Okay, I loved RE4 Wiimake. I loved Zack & Wiki. We Love Golf looks like the first golf game I'll enjoy in years.  I think it's great that they are remaking Okami, and I'm a pretty big hardcore Monster Hunter fan so MH3 is a cool deal....

But this is just bullshit. I'm not paying for this crap. RE0 was a mediocre game in the first place, and they expect me to cough up for it again, and made into a point and click adventure no less? Screw that. Capcom, this is your ultimatum: If I'm not playing either Zack & Wiki 2 or a ground up RE Wii game by this time next year, I'm coming down there and someone's gonna get hurt.

I'll be skipping this one.... ugh..

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

RE 0

zero sense for me, why not 2? or a new RE?

Who's to say that they aren't coming? But RE0 was already made for the GCN, and would need a minimal upgrade to make it viable on the Wii. A new RE takes years to make, and RE2 would require a good deal of work to make it viable on the Wii (unless it was done as a VC game). So RE0 comes first because it's quickest to do, and I think has the lowest overall sales of the main RE games (0-4, pluc CV) which means it would have a larger potential audience than yet one more release of RE1.

And for the record, RE0 remains the only main-line RE game that has NOT been given a port or upgrade of some type.

Who cares how it controls, you'll never get to play it. It's only coming to Japan. From Kotaku:

Lots of people angry with Capcom's move to rehash another Resident Evil game on the Wii. Well, you can cool your jets, you furious legion, because Capcom say the "new" Resident Evil 0 is destined only for Japan. If you're outside of Japan and still interested, you can do what nobody did last time the game came around and just grab the GameCube version.

RE4 was testing the waters.

Z&W was an original game. Low budget, sure, but not "testing the waters." The nature of the game inherently ruled out a large investment - it's the gaming equivilient of independent film.

Okami - Also not testing waters. It's coming (most likely) because RE4 was a big success. The game was a resounding disappointment in sales, but got raves on the PS2. It has always seemed a better fit for the Nintendo crowd.

RE0 - Again, not teting the waters, but like Okami, its cashing in based on the fact that the waters were nice to RE4. While this is the most naked cash grab in the group, it will still be better than 90% of the shovelware we've seen by now. And this has fit the pattern of RE-milking we've seen from Capcom from the beginning - every major console save the XBox saw some version of RE, many of them "upgraded ports" of previously exclusive titles.

Confirmed Capcom is dropping all Wii support.   Article in five months reads that the Wii has gone completely casual as RE 0 sells only 50,000 worldwide (LOL, ignore the biggest RE markets) proving that RE 4 sales on Wii were a complete fluke.  I'm joking, but seriously I don't understand this.

Considering how cheap Okami was to port, and that RE0 ought to be even cheaper, 50,000 units might make a tidy little profit for this release. :P

Profit or not, most wii games (RE4 includeded) that have been ported from other systems to the wii have performed very well to previous sales.  RE0 while not the best in the series sold over 1 M for the gamecube.  As such, a well done port could become platinum.  A Japan only release has no chance (See RE4 100,000).  So yeah if they do it cheap enough they may make a profit.  But if they did it right, they'd be rolling in profit.
