The fact that every single game on the list is a PS3/4 game immediately discredits the list.

i agree. thats part of my criteria of how im judging the games. i know people can have different criteria for how to come up with the ten greatest games of all time, so there can be slight differences to my list, but aging well is a huge criteria for me.

Not sure if he's serious, y'know, as the game only released last week.

Indeed. Every year we as a community decide upon our Top 50 games, and then all this information is compiled into a Top 300 thread. So the top 10 from there are:

10. Chrono Trigger

Square (1995)

9. Super Smash Bros. Melee

HAL Laboratory (2001)

8. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Naughty Dog (2009)

7. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Nintendo EAD (1992)

6. Resident Evil 4

Capcom Production Studio 4 (2005)

5. Super Mario Galaxy 2

Nintendo EAD Tokyo (2010)

4. Super Mario World

Nintendo EAD (1991)

3. Super Mario Galaxy

Nintendo EAD Tokyo (2007)

2. Super Mario 64

Nintendo EAD (1996)

1. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

This is a list I can get behind; a nice diverse mix across multiple consoles and franchises. Coincidentally TLoU came in in 33rd place.

i actually saw this list earlier this year or last year (forgot when exactly it was released) but yeah.. its obvious that whoever compiled this list was a bit biased for a certain company..

EDIT: oops, im sorry for my horrendous quote tree. i hope i had a chance to edit this before you saw it and had a heart attack.

So, the 76 members of the forum across all fanbases as a pooled decision makes this a biased list? I'm not really sure how having the joint opinion of said 76 people can make it a bit biased; a list which contained over 1,000 unique games across all consoles.

Conversely, I'm looking at your top 10. Every game on the PS3/4.

metal gear solid 4 was the greatest game to hit the ps3 at the time. no questions asked. i even bought the 80gb bundle when it came out just to give sony and hideo kojima extra support. i couldnt believe my eyes when i saw this game. the graphics were absolutely amazing, and i loved the nod it gave to earlier mgs games. a real treat for gamers.
