I don't think it will hit 15M mark, I would say around 13M probably. But its too far away, after the Destiny effect it will be much easier to foresee how many units will be sold by years end..

I think that 17m number was Sonys fiscal year projection for the PS3+PS4 not where they want the PS4 to be by then. There are being a little conservative here imo.

By the end of December I agree with what others said, 15m is pretty likely, 17m isn't so much.

I really feel lonely in my projections here. Everybody is being really conservative....PS4 is probably around 9-9'5 mill SOLD right now (I don't really believe VGC lately...) By Destiny's launch it will be 10 mill FOR SURE. How anybody can believe PS4 will sell only 4-5 million the rest of the year????? They already sold around 5 mill the first 7 months of the year, the slower ones.....Just in December will sell something around that number.

And for the Fiscal Year, PS4 will be around 20 mill sold, minimum. Sony is just being conservative to surprise people.

Depends if they can drop some Japanese Centric games and get them on board, if all regiond were doing good numbers then yes.

well... it did around 4M in 2013. If it does 12M in 2014 then its 16M.

Another way to look at it is that right now its around 9M. By the end of september it very well could be over 10M. So lets see if/how it sells 6M consoles in the remaining 3 months of the year. Possible, but I am not sure.

No I do not think the PS4 will sell 17 million PS4s in the year 2014.

Will sale more if there is supply, it lacks competition to stop its only road block is can they make and ship enough to milk the holidays for all they are worth.

If Destiny bumps PS4 as i think it will, you will see +20m PS4 by April 2015 easily.

lets say Destiny pushes a ton of consoles.... maybe the PS4 does 1 million in September, add another 400k for Aug and we will be looking at 10.5-10.8 mil beginning in October (when sales start to increase), now lets say it sells 800k in October (200k a week seems doable for that month), we would be at 11.5 mil starting Nov.

I think it can get close to a million BF week, and maybe average 250k the other weeks, so 1.7 to 2 mil. So best case scenario we are at 13.5 mil in Dec. The PS4 would need to sell 3.5 mil in 3.5 weeks to do it.

I think it sells over a million the last full week before CMAS, at 500k for the week of CMAS and leading into new years (Cmas Eve, Gift card purchases and such). I think it can pull MAYBE 1.6 mil in those 2 weeks combined. So we are at 15.1 without counting 1st 2 weeks of Dec.

If BF is as big as I predicted I expect a little supply issues the next week, so maybe 450k, then around 800k the next.

So in my high end prediction (but fairly realistic) 16-16.5 mil is doable. I dont see where the other 500k come from, but it is Definity doable if there is stock and destiny delivers.
