Tried watching the first ep of punchline. Yeah, it's just not that good. Couldn't even finish the ep.

Did you change your display picture because it (the first episode of punchline) wasn't that good or because too many people had the same one as you?

Neither, changed my avy cuz Xander said the nose stood out and stopped me from being a camouflaged bear. So got a new avy where I'm hiding it

Looking forward to the second round. Got a bunch of potential drop candidates. On the chopping block currently are:

Re-Kan
Arslan Senki
Denpa Kyoushi
Danmachi
Houkago no Pleiades
Kyoukai no Rinne
Owari no Seraph

I currently have 27 running and a potential 6 to come so I really need to trim some fat if I want to survive this season.

I don't know how you guys watch so much anime. 2-3 per season is usually all I watch

I was always wondering the same thing. If I manage to complete 2 12-episode series per season I consider it a success. But usually there are not more than 2 per season that I find worth watching.

Some people are blessed with a broad taste. Also I like watching anime, so I only drop what's really bad and not interesting to me. I also usually watch all sequels of animes I don't completely condemn and this season is very heavy on sequels.

The next thing is that it's not really time consuming. Watching 20 animes in a season is barely an hour a day.

Well I'm not a big fan of generic animes. If an anime does not have an interestic topic or style it needs to be at least good. It doesn't get more generic and mediocre than these two. I only didn't drop them immediately because they had some minor little details that intrigued me. I will see what the second episode brings.

If you watch as many animes as I, you need to be selective and as far as I am concerned there are currently 20 animes that are more interesting to me than these 7.

This isn't a comprehensive listing, just a few thoughts on what I've seen in the last couple of days.

The Good:

DanMachi / Dungeon (Is it Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) - The second episode delivered on the promise the first episode hinted at.  I like the potential of the gods-on-earth as guild masters.  Also, Hestia was cute again today.

Shokugeki no Souma - Second episode was much more compelling than the first.  God Tongue girl is an interesting character.

Re-Kan! - Once again, the second episode was more promising than the first.  I like the pace and I like the group of friends a lot.

Nagato Yuki-chan no Shoushitsu - Once I got over the fact that this Nagato isn't the one I fell in lov ... liked from the first series, I realized that this is an entertaining anime.  After two episodes, I'm kind of hopeful.

Ore Monogatari - I enjoyed this a lot.  Reminded me somehow of Kimi ni Todoke.

The Bad:

Triage X - Yeah, that was awful.  There is only one reason to watch this and that was heavily censored.  I can't imagine not waiting for the DVD release to even consider this.

Highschool DxD BoriNg - I barely made it through the previous series.  Wait, no, I dropped it before the end.

Gunslinger Stratos - Nah.

Owari no Seraph - Saw that coming from a mile away.  Anyway, anime is so amazing; no matter WHAT happens in the first episode, the second episode can still end up with a High School setting.

The Maybe:

Houkago no Pleides - The first episode was amusing and fun.  I liked the style.  We'll see where it goes.

Etotama - Dragon and Tiger were really cute.  Hard to say one way or another about this series at this point.

Punchline - Very nice style and the characters are interesting.  There might be something here if they can avoid the "punchline" every single episode.

well plastic memories is going in the direction I anticipated..... I just hope I can handle the feels.

If you dropped world trigger then I feel so sorry for you, the show is actually getting pretty good. This episode had me on the edge of my seat from start till finish. As someone on MAL said, this arc is truly where world trigger begins.

I wonder if there is anything that doesn't bring you to the edge of your seat.
