It wasnt only directed at you but evrybody in this thread.  This whol argument over 5k diffrence is absolutely pointless.

Xbox One had a great launch, but then it declined a lot. If you compare the sales of 2014, the things are very different: 1,833,066 (XOne) vs 1,261,999 (Wii U).

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Yes, it will. Why? Because it doesn't compete with XOne and PS4 and is way cheaper/smaller.

PS4 and Xbox One are so similar in specs, offer, market and games, that they'll only be one winner this time, and as of now PS4 sold 157% what Xbox One sold, and predictions are not set to reverse.

So if ever people buy a second console on the cheap, it won't be the Xbox One (or PS4 if they bought a One) but a Wii U.

What makes you so certain that people are more likely to buy a wii u rather than an xbox one or a ps4?

Learn to read please. I said once people have bought a PS4 or Xbox One, if they buy a second console, they're less to buy a Xbox One/PS4 than a Wii U, since the Xone and PS4 are similar in offer.

Might end up in a really close tie like 6th gen

Just like all bold predictions do

I own a Wii U and will never get an Xbox One, but I'm pretty sure Wii U will finish 3rd. Xbox One will obviously keep selling strong in the US, but I feel confident that it will get crushed by the PS4 in Europe. My bet would be:

1. PS4: 110 - 140m
2. Xbox One: 40 - 50m
3. Wii U: 20 - 30m

Some franchises might be declining, but Destiny seems to be going for really big numbers.

Btw, i only mentioned shooters but i didn`t want to imply that shooters are the main genre. By the look of things, open world games seem to be the hit genre.
Still, halo and gears of war are still huge franchises that can really push HW.

destiny will push tons of ps4s. but very little xbone.  and the hit are still ASSFAGGOTS, aka. MOBA.  but they are small on consoles atm.

nintendo should made a smash moba, but without the A characters.

Yeah, on consoles they don`t seem to really have a market.
MAG didn`t work, Titanfall, more or less.

Don`t know the difference between Smash`s mp and becoming a MOBA.

Saying the Wii U or Xbox One will get second are both unfounded IMO. I always change my mind about it.

and xbox one didnt get one either this year P

*cough cough* titanfall

So a new IP compared to a well established and well known IP is equal? OK THEN.

why is it being a new ip really all that relevent? its not like there arent new ip that sell huge amounts all the time, Wii Sports was a new ip and is the best selling game of all time, Halo was also a new ip and is arguably the sole reason the Xbox brand didnt die a quick death, Assassin's Creed, Gears of War, Watch Dogs, soon to be Destiny. All huge selling new ip and on top of that Titanfall was hyped beyond belief with many people claimng it to be the new FPS king.
