Forums - Gaming Discussion - EA delays Battlefield: Hardline and Dragon Age: Inquisition

If it helps polish Dragon Age I am okay with it, never want another entry in the series rushed out.

Dragon age not in October? That's cool. Less wallet rape in October

Good. I'll have time to play Middle Earth now.

No surprises here. Both games were about to get demolished in sales.
DA gets a spot opposite of Far Cry now, so there is room for better sales.
BF will probably get dumped in April or May, it was never promising, and it will sell like any mediocre FPS +10% because of the name.

Great news for Evolve and Sunset Overdrive, though, they both should see a bump since a competing shooter dropped out.

BF will be between January and March as it's been delayed to EA's 2015 4th quarter.

LOL, they know that if they release a 3rd terrible BF game in a row, no one will ever buy any again.

You've got CoD & Destiny taking control of the FPS scene in the Holiday season this year, along with The Halo Collection. Better off putting it after the season, when people might be looking for something different.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

EA delayed a Battlefield game...lol.

Wait, so this means we could potentially see two Battlefield games in the same year? (I'm guessing they'll be releasing one next year to compete with Call of Duty 2015?)

no. this is the first and last time BF will be annualized. next year its battlefront. then TitanFall 2, then BF5 and it will continue with each having a 3 year dev cycle.

I don't think EA will release Titanfall 2 as their 2016 shooter, given that EA does not own Titanfall, Respawn Entertainment does.

neither one on my list..

..but makes an already weak holiday line up look even more anemic.

they own publishing right. they already agreed on a new deal. and they already said they will have a 3 year rotation system. Battlefront next year and TitanFall the year after.
