To me, the Wii U is money repellent. I'm holding out hope that the one game I'm actually interested in on the system will be available elsewhere before I'm compelled to buy it. Either as a port on a future Nintendo console, or...other.

Failing that, I can always play it the same way I played the one game I was actually interested in on the Wii; renting it and playing on someone else's box.

I believe in honesty, civility, generosity, practicality, and impartiality.

Honestly I agree. I'm buying it for exclusives. If it had the same exclusives as ps4 or even Xbox I wouldn't buy it. But Nintendo is so amazing at games it's a fools choice to not buy it. I my biggest complaint is the game pad though. I simply don't want it. And now you can't even try to buy one without it because some games need it. Putting a map on the game pad isn't innovative when you can just put it on the screen

In your life? If you answered yes, then buy one, I'd probably reccomend right now actually because you can get refurbed Wii U 32GB w/Nintendo directly from Nintendo with full warranty for $200 and then you can buy Mario Kart 8 and get a free game (Pikmin 3 or Wind Waker HD would be my picks) between now and July 31st.

If the answer is no ... no biggie. Don't buy one.

It's not like you're buying an engagement ring, $200-$300 does not buy you much of anything these days.

From an business viewpoint, I think the Wii U was a really bad idea. It's a weak console with a relatively expensive price-tag. That's an awful combination. The advertising vector was a complete bust. Nintendo's first year strategy was as bad as it possibly could have been.

All of that aside, it's a console that will have a parade of first party Nintendo exclusives. If you like that, then you really should like the Wii U.

From a personal viewpoint, that doesn't excite me as much as it does many others. I'm no longer into platformers, which takes a sizable chunk of Nintendo games off the board from the start. I really like games with complex characters and/or interesting storylines, which the Wii U probably won't see a lot of relative to the other consoles. I don't care much about online play, so the Wii U's weakness there, real or imagined, means little to me, though not having an account system baffles the hell out of me. I didn't have a Wii, though I wanted one for the late RPGs it got, so that would be a plus for the Wii U.

Honestly, though, when I line up the games I'm interested in that the Wii U has or will have, it really doesn't total up to much. I kind of want to play Zombi U and W101 but certainly not to the level of buying a console. I kind of wanted Mario Kart but the way people talk, it sounds luck based, which absolutely kills my interest. Didn't like the first Bayonetta and I'm not impressed by Devil's Third in the slightest.

But Zelda. But Metroid.

I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that those two are the primary games that decide our ultimate interest in the Wii U. Skyward Sword was probably the turning point of me not picking up a Wii. This new Zelda, if Nintendo nails it, could be the reason I eventually buy a Wii U.

If they make a good paper mario game (like 64 or TTYD), and its 200 or less, I'll buy it with that and SSB. No other way I'll ever get one. So I'm giving it about a 2% chance I'll ever end up getting one.

I love the WiiU. It has some negatives, but every console has that.

I like it. Not love, but I don't regret my purchase.

BUT, like any true game, I can't pass a generation without playing the few but important Nintendo exclusives there will be on Wii U: Mario Kart 8, Wonderful 101, Bayonetta 2, SSB, Zelda 2015 or Star Fox 2015.

There's a flaw in your poll. You didn't account for the current owners of a Wii U.

THIS. I was going through the poll, no option fitting me, and instead of an "others" option there's this "coward without opinion". Lol.

Like having an opinion without any reason makes you(op) less of a coward.

Goulibouli: So you're totally hyped for the "great" games but for some mysterious reason you don't like the console. And even keep that reason a secret while your thread's title implies an answer to that.

I bought a Wii U because of its features. Its quit usefull and I do love the first party games coming out and and whats already out now. Still, i need to plan to buy more of the games :3
