I think this is pretty much futile ...

Fatal Frame 4 didn't get a North American release and instead had to be translated using a fan translation patch. Unless the WII U gets hacked you guys pretty much won't be getting the game in english anytime soon and I doubt Nintendo would be interested in bringing it over seas anyway.

They're mentioning that Fatal Frame will be getting a Hollywood movie (ala Resident Evil and Silent Hill) in addition to a Japanese movie. I think that pretty much means the game has to come over to the West. Just a question of when I guess, hopefully NOA will not sit on it until the Hollywood movie is finished.

Gif greatly appreciated!

Never been a real fan of the series but I hope it is the best in the series and comes to the West.

A lot has changed since 2008. The 3DS game was localized, X is getting worldwide push where its sequel was almost never localized, and Nintendo of Europe localized Fatal Frame 2 Wii Edition. Plus Nintendo is in more of a pickle now, so they're more likely to cave to what gamers ask for.

It would be a pretty stupid move for Nintendo to not to localize any game they get. They're struggling to put out titles as is, and North America has the largest install base for the Wii U. Pretty safe to say it'll be here eventually.

The question is would they want it out relatively early here or wait until after the holidays when the release schedule is bare and there's not so much competition.

Yup Hollywood movie confirmed by the Resident Evil movie producer (the Milla Jovovich films). That means Fatal Frame is going global for sure. On the downside what this means though is we probably will have to wait until the Fatal Frame Hollywood movie is finished, though movies only take 3-4 months to shoot generally. Probably a March-June 2015 release?

Besides, as mentioned Nintendo can't afford to be turning away games from their platforms anymore (at least one positive side effect of third parties dumping them).

C'mon Ninty, greenlight The Last Story 2 for Sakaguchi too. You'll need games for that next-gen handheld anyway.
