is it just me or the Moon doesn't look as polished as Earth?

i spent 1.5hr of the 2hrs in those tunnels lol

Hit level 8, played a bit more MP. Generally feel the same as I did before. While I this cool that there are more abilities to upgrade, overall I still find the beta boring. The gunplay and AI are the two biggest letdowns, especially since its Bungie.

I also find myself wondering if the game world improves at all in the retail game. One of the best things about Borderlands is the AI characters are actually doing things hat would seem natural and you just stumble in them. In Destiny they are just standing there waiting on you to shoot them. And when you kill them, they respawn insanely fast. There is a loot route I found on Reddit in Rocketarena or something in the explore mission. There are lots of little rooms you can stumble into just by hugging the walls. There are 3-4 instances where you can kill a mob, run into the room to check for a chest, return outside less than 10 seconds later, and the mob respawns. LOL

I have a hard time understanding why thus game requires online play and has no offline SP:

1. No item trading
2. No communication between players outside of voice chat
3. No matchmaking for regular missions
4. Its more of a pain than anything else when other players invade your game world. They can slow down your mission progress big time

Seems like the game could be a lot better as a standard FPS with optional online co-op.

Also, can someone explain the difference between Crucible and Iron Banner? I gt decimated by any variety of 1-2 shot kill weapons in Crucible and die a ton but I slaughter people in IB I think I played 3 games and averaged like 15 kills each time.

man, the short 2 hour access of the moon was such a tease, but gets me so hyped for the full game, including all the tunnel networks and such that map is fucking immense.
art style is second to none.

so hyped for the retail release.

It has been confirmed that every planet only has one area:

So earth will be only Russia.... The promised Chicago:europe locations will probably be DLC...

Considering the map size their will be not that many planets??

Decent gameplay

Horrible multiplayer.

how much did you play the MP? Just asking because my brother and I were kinda irratated with it for the 1st 4-5 matches than it clicked and before we knew it we played over 20 straight matches and were having a blast.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

I played a little bit yesterday and some today. How do you play the multiplayer??

After you get to a certain part of the story, you talk to a guy in the tower and he unlocks the crucible.  When you select destination, crucible is a little circle to the right of earth.

Crucible is balanced so that everybodys weapon and armor stats are equal.  Iron banner isnt, so level and equipment are a big deal...
