So would anyone like to make any guesses of how many total units both dual-systems ecosystems will sell.

Is 3DS + Wii U an ecosystem?

How?

Because they share first-party franchises, the Mii-Verse, and eShop credit. Not to mention we've already seen games that work in conjunction with their couterparts on the other. Smash Bros and the eventual Pokemon Stadium style game being good examples of whats to come with Monster-Hunter and Sonic Lost World already have tapped into that.

Did you really not know?

I own 3DS + Wii U and PS4/PS3+PSVITA. But how to use Mario 3D World and Mario 3D Land together? I don't know.
PS4/PS3 and PSVita share online account. PSone titles work on both PS3/PSVita. That is clear for me. Some games on Playstation are cross platform (like Guacamelee, Superfrog HD) with cloud saves.

So - I should use one nintendo ID?

Does Virtual Consol titles work on both 3DS and Wii U like PSone titles on PS3/Vita?

Are there some sort of "cross buy"/"cross playable games" on Nintendo systems?

The first cross buy/cross play game was released last week.

So I think we can officially call it an ecosystem now, albeit an underdeveloped one. In the last 6 months Nintendo has been making huge strides to connect the platforms though. Before November last year, there wasn't even the concept of an account separate from the individual piece of hardware, and now we have Nintendo ID's.

No one said the eco-system was as complexly integrated the as PS4 and Vita, but saying they don't have one because it isn't is like saying the PS1 didn't launch with controllers due to not having all the bells and whistles of a rumble-packed N64 controller.

Your argument is flawed. You can either disprove my that claims that there is a shared online Mii-Verse account, shared eShop account (shared credit does mean shared account), and the existance of games on each console that interact (Monster-Hunter and Sonic Lost World being examples - your Mario counter-example is like saying that since the element Naquadah doesn't exist that Gold, being an element, doesn't exist).

Your other option is to provide a defintion from a reliable source of what defiens a console eco-system - other than "whatever Playstation does".

PS4: 90M
PSV: 15M

3DS: 80M
WiiU: 25M

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

I was just wondering and asking questions. Honestly I didn't know any thing about "Nintendo ecosystem" or whatever you like to call it.

PS4 + Vita is even worse then PS3 + Vita. You cannot play PSone titles on PS4, remote play does not work for me. Cross play/save thing only works in some games on PS3+Vita. It's a mess.

PS4 alone could very well outsell 3DS+WiiU+Vita!!

WiiU will Probably outsell PS4, with 3DS outselling Vita by far this makes WiiU+3DS>PS4+Vita in sales imho.

WiiU will? What are you basing this on? Not the sales, that much i can tell you.

My guess:
PS4: 50
Vita: 15

WiiU: 55
3DS: 70

My numbers are based on the follwing guesses:

PS4: Release hype + good sales for the first 3 years. Then interest could fall rapidly, since it doesn't offer much value compared to a slightly higher priced PC that offers a lot more.

Vita: Already at it's peak, so i guess it won't do much more if there's not some very attractive PS4 Vita combination.

WiiU: Didn't sell good during the first 1.5 years, now slowly picking up sales numbers. It will not have huge numbers as PS4 during the first 2 years, but will continue to sell on an okish level for a much longer time.

3DS: It's close to reaching its peak, so somewhat like current sales*1.5.

The 3DS has already peaked IMO anyway. But I can see it hitting around 70 million sold though liftime. The Wii U though has NO CHANCE at all of outselling the PS4. And it is not slowly picking up sales it is kind of flat right now. The Wii U will peak before the PS4 does as well so that gives the PS4 even more time to outsell it. And PS consoles have a longer sales history and better legs than NIN consoles if I am not mistaken.

Also what makes you think the PS4 doesn't offer much value compared to a slightly higer priced PC? Or is that just your opinion? Also what is the Wii U going to do in order to catch back up to the PS4? Like what scenario do you see where the sales pick up that much and hold? I can live with your other numbers but your Wii U/PS4 numbers just seem off.

The absence of evidence is NOT the evidence of absence...

PSN: StlUzumaki23

People actually believe Wii u will outsell ps4. This one is begging for a tag.
