She's not the best performer out there,but she has alot of heart and soul. She's writes her own music and is real creative in what she does. I guess,I also like her because she does'nt follow anything that's currently popular with the masses. She also has her own website,meresha.com if you like the video and want 2 know more about her. I don't know how to embed, but I will give my (harsh) opinion:

-The beat sounds fairly amateur-ish, as I neither think it is a good beat, nor do I think it is mixed well. It is boring and it sounds like badly-disguised (or not at all disguised) MIDI.
-Her voice is interesting, but once again, the mixing just seems off. She also doesn't really have much substance behind her voice. She seems to ride around in a very tiny range and whenever she tries to break out of that range her voice devolves into being quite annoying.
-From what I can gather of the lyrics, they are nothing really special either. Granted, I couldn't really understand everything that she was saying...
-The music video was also terrible, but I won't complain too much about that...

I suppose its fairly obvious that I'm not the biggest fan...I will share a few bands (which I would be happy to see reviewed) later if this thread gets more posts, but I like to keep posts like this focused on one topic.

I completly disagree,but I respect your opinion. The first time I posted a thread like this it got a decent amount of post,but I guess I just posted at the wrong time with this post. It always seems 2 be dead on sunday's. I'm not going 2 lie and say I'm not alittle disapointed with the lack of response,but at least I tried. It is what it is. :)

People who like indie music should check out Bad Suns. They just released their debut album a few weeks ago, and I really like it.

I totally expected this thread to be about painters and stuff. Instead there's a video of some girl singing. I am disappointed. T_T
