Is more realistic 40,000.

It happen every year every generation that consoles sales aslowing down in Summer if people are so so ignorantthey should not talk at all

Ps4 is still doing better ps3 and xbox 360 so i don't know how these number are bad 

People should start to compare these sales to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place consoles of the 7th gen, not compare PS4 to PS3 and so on. When you do that instead, the picture is catastrophic at the moment, despite this being a low season.

Yeah, but they ALWAYS slow down this time of year. Dip in sales is a combination of annual summer doldrums and a lack of must-have titles, which happens the first year of every new console. And yeah, compared to previous gen hardware sales over their first year, yeah.....they're doing just fine. September-March is gonna be NUTS, and those sales will skyrocket- mark my words. 

I agree, I think some people expected 800k worldwide monthly sales without change, while the rest of us understand how sales cycles in the console industry work, and are bemused by the annual summer cries of doom.

Wow! Xb one up even further. Not what I would have picked. This is quite good for Xb one. Dumping Kinect may be better for Xb one than I expected. I guess we'll have to wait and see how it settles from here until September. Of course the numbers are only impressive in NA, 23K for all the other markets is still pretty bad post the dumping of Kinect considering 40% of that is UK. I am rather curios to see that of the countries we have reported so far all of them got a 14% boost for Xb one. Coincidence obviously.

Meanwhile Wii U keeps on falling back towards pre-MK8 levels. I do hope it stabilises above 40K per week at least. It's too sad to see it languishing down in the 20s. Another >20% drop this week suggests Wii U hasn't levelled off yet.

MK8 could stay above 150K for it's 4th week, which is very good all things considered. I can see it selling above 50K per week through the rest of the year. It could end up with a >50% attach rate.

I assume he's talking about the 1 hit wonder of the Wii bubble that was happening at that time.

That a more valid comparison is:

Wii - PS4 (market leader)

360 - WiiU (second place)

PS3 - X1 (third place)

At the moment people are comparing this generations market leader to the 3d placed console in 7th generation.
