Forums - Sony Discussion - Gran Turismo 7 in the works, standard cars from GT4 set to stay, not this year

I would like to see the stats and see how many people actually drive all 800+ cars in GT6 or GT5. Instead of wasting time and effort appealing to the minority they should improve things like the sound and start innovating again.

Well the sound will get a major overhaul for 7.  Kinda sucks since they promised at first that 6 also would get a major sound overhaul.

Failed game has already failed.

Right, because the 100's of premium cars it will have mean nothing then?

What great time and effort do you think they are putting into porting the legacy cars that is preventing them from making the game good... besides, how many GTs have you played?

I have drove at least 500 cars in GT5 and 100 cars in GT6, if I were to put all the 6 games I'm sure I drove close to 1k.

I see no problem in keeping standard cars IF they continue to polish them a little like they did in GT6. It makes me laugh when I hear people complain about them. Do you people honestly think that getting rid of the standard cars will magically make premium cars appear? I'd rather have a choice to use them than have them all together removed.

Also for the people who would "rather have 500 premiums" they are already at around 400 so GT7 will more than likely have around 600 premiums. So..... why not keep standards?

People don't like standard cars? I always liked maxing them out and seeing how good they were with the best parts. Sure you eventually go premium to finish the game but early on the standard cars can help out a lot (especially if you pick a good one).

Even funnier is that if you are racing for real odds are you are doing from the inside cockpit view or in front of the bumper camera.. none of those would give you much on the cars visual so I really don't understand the complain about "they are too ugly and PD is lazy". Give us 200 premium cars and just that, I don't want 400 premium and 800 standard, the standard degrade the game rate... so silly.

GT6 is the worst selling Gran Turismo game of all time, I don´t think GT7 will do any better, sadly.

you want a sim with american cars get forza you want japanese then get gt simple as that

it amazes me that gt is in its 7th iteration and it doesnt have the popular american cars of the 70s 80s and 90s and probably never will since there keeping gt4s car list thinking its some holy grail for car list. get rid of the 10 or so of the same nissans and hondas, 1000+ cars my ass

scrap gt6s car list start from scratch take every popular car and include at least one of each gen of it and be done for ex. camaro game should have a 69, 71, 81, 89, 97, 02, 10 and the new model 2014

Not to be that guy, but there are nearly as many American cars in GT6 as total cars in FM5.

But yeah...way too many Japanese cars. Mostly becuase of GTs history and since GT5 they have been a lot more balanced with the car list.
