No. What does Capcom have that Nintendo would want? Monster Hunter? Just buy that IP if they truly think they need it. Resident Evil, Mega Man, Street Fighter, Devil May Cry, and... whatever else doesn't sell consoles anymore.

Dragons Dogma Wiiu exclusive OMFG also Resident Evil and StreetFighter MonsterHunter omg omg
Buy capcom then buy sega (including atlus) and then NamcoBandai and then buy platinum
What else?
I can't pretend to understand the true economics of this situation, but it sure looks like a win/win for both companies. I don't know how Nintendo could overlook the sales potential with many of Capcom's franchises...and wouldn't Mega Man Legends look amazing with the assistance in house from Nintendo's teams?
I hope so, and they should. Also, it's possible since Nintendo wants to buy and Capcom wants to sell. I wouldn't doubt this has been in the works for some time, since Nintendo announced that buy-back some time ago. Nintendo needs Monster Hunter on its handhelds, and they need more content - especially mature content - on its home consoles. Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Dead Rising, Lost Planet, etc, would compliment Nintendo's current lineup and bring with it dedicated fans to expand the Wii U (and beyond) user base. Classic titles like Mega Man, etc could also be milked by nostalgia-savy Nintendo. It would be a great fit.

Wait, Ono left ??
Considering how well Nintendo is treating Mega Man for the new Super Smash Bros. it would make sense for Nintendo to buy Capcom, especially since Capcom hasn't done anything with Mega Man for a long time.
"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
I really want this to happen, maybe is a possibility with the new Iwata's strategy.
