Is Uncharted 4 gonna be the best looking game of all time upon release? READ OP!

Yes 107 65.24%

No 35 21.34%

Maybe 17 10.37%

Total:159

I voted wrong at the poll, I didn't read the question of the poll thinking the question at hand was the title in the OP.

I don't get what you're getting at. The real time play is damned close to the in-engine cutscene. Obviously gameplay isn't gonna match the cutscenes 100%, but, using TLOU as an example, when the gameplay looks 90% as good as the cutscenes, what do you expect from UC4 after seeing the crazy graphics from its' (also) in-engine cutscene?

Of corse the game will be beautifull, I have no doubt that ND will deliver a great looking game.

Would it be the best looking for a console only game at it´s time?

Probably if ND goes to a full linear cinematic experience. But I hope not, seeing how cold reviewer are talking about "The Order 1886" and other exemples like "Ryse"...

Easily, on consoles.

Resolution will make the IQ cleaner no doubt, but as far as overall presentation no game on pc at 4k looks like CGI, period.

You created the thread an hour ago and you already found your answer

Yeah, you definitely misread.

The Witcher 3 on PC will probably hold that title.

I disagree, we have seen the witcher... and it didnt generate the kinda disbelief that this trailer has.

I don't think its about power anymore, of course if naughty dog were making this game for the PC it could look better. I think its about art and talent. Everyone is using polygons and a glut of effects and post processing to render their games. Some are simply just better at doing it than others. There is a point that a game or an image gets to that if you looked at it, looked hard and long, and it runs perfectly, no frame hickups or aliasing issues; you simply would not be able to point out one thing that you feel should or could have been done better. I think thats where naughty dog is at, will games look beter  of coure, but its just beyond what anyone can imagine right now.... till of course someone does it.

When they show any real game play we can start talking...

Or do you guys remember this "in-engine" game?

And TLOU looks on-par with the footage.

Yep... the cut sceanes.

But for real game-play we have another ND E3 pearl.

Ding ding ding! You win the thread.

Idk why people give Naughty Dog a pass in the bullshots category, especially when in the case of their last 3 games (Uncharted 2/3, LoU) they have shown trailers and gameplay pre-release billed as "in engine on Playstation 3" and then when the games are out it turns out the games are not only downgraded, but the only times they ever approach the level of graphic fidelity they showcased, is during unplayable cut scenes.

I have no doubt U4 will be a great looking game but of course what do they show off first? An unplayable cut scene.

That's not even getting into the fact that their games thus far on PS3 have been able to look as good as they have because they are heavily scripted, corridor games. They are Sony's version of Gears of War. To me personally titles like GTA V or Just Cause 2 were much more impressive because they looked gorgeous while also being much more open creatively to not only the designed but the gamer as well. In their past games you saw exactly what ND wanted you to see.

In short, no. PC will always be superior.

This

If I've seen a game that good looking on a console? Not ever. Everyone should look for this trailer on websites to watch them on 60 FPS glory, since Youtube loves butchering the quality and framerate. If a current PC game can beat these graphics? I doubt it. But we can't jump to conclusions right now. We have to wait for more gameplay to judge how good this game can perform.

Uncharted's graphics were upgraded each time, except for 3. TLOU looks exactly on par with the footage shown. The only two differences I see that are on the net are posted by fanboys who blurred the "after" pic in 'before' and "after" comparisons.

I wonder how their going to evolve the game-play mechanics after the brilliant The Last of Us.
