Forums - Gaming Discussion - Strictly from a sales standpoint, who won E3?

Business-wise, who won E3?

Sony 315 48.09%

Nintendo 262 40.00%

Microsoft 78 11.91%

Total:655

I thought the Nintendo had the best conference but I think Halo Collection move the most units. Destiny is going to have more content on PS4 but it's still launching on other platforms. I don't know if Nitendo's software will push sales out side of their hardcore fans.

Business-wise, Sony. Apart from the Destiny White PS4 bundle, they have proven that their console is still the best place to try the multiplatforms. Microsoft would've got this if they at least dedicated a minute to inform the masses that the Xbox One is $399.

Actually yeah, I'm surprised they didn't mention the Kinect-less SKU. Would have been a good way to get people informed about it.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Sony > MS > Nintendo

Damn... Them poll results, didn't expect Nintendo to come in second. Would like to hear reasoning :)

Now first. *sigh*

I'd say Microsoft easily. They had a very humble conference, showed nothing but games and showed they were dedication to the hardcore gamer. That Halo collection is also going to make a huge impact.

idk dude, I mean IMO, I feel Destiny on PS4 is going to have a much bigger effect than Halo Collections on Xbox One. I mean Watch Dogs managed nearly 2 million on PS4 alone and it's looking like Destiny might embarrass that.

Hopefully both will be big sellers though come Holiday season! :)

It's great to talk about games and features and all that jazz, but keep in mind that this is sill a sales forum. So speaking purely from a business standpoint, which of the big 3 had the strongest presentation?

Personally I think that Destiny bundle is going to be the biggest system seller of the year. Halo Collection would come in second. And Nintendo didn't really show anything that can reverse the sales trend of the WiiU or 3DS.

Thoughts?

-Sony proved that at the very least they will have as many great games if not more than Xbox One in 2015.  People can feel safe buying this console.  Plus LBP3 will round out this falls gaming roster.

-Then the Destiny bundle looks fantastic.  It will surely move units.

So yeah easy win for Sony.  As for Nintendo...Idk.  There was a lot of good stuff shown, but all the games they showed do not counteract the failure to secure the major 3rd party AAA games for this and the next year.  Without a price drop I don't see Wii U sales picking up TBH.  Mario Kart is already out...

That white PS4. I'm getting it... and I already have a PS4. That says a lot.

Now only if sony just sold the game and the white PS4 for $400. That would be a soft price drop right there. Then make a red PS4 to sell with the last of Us hehehehe....

The Destiny PS4 bundle. MS have the most exclusives that will actually do something sales wise (Halo, Sunset and Forza vs LBP and Driveclub) and each have their own DLC deals with multiplats.

Nintendo pretty much had no announcements that will impact this holidays sales, Zelda U for next year is an announcement you could relate to sales tho.

So yeah, Sony > MS > Nintendo. I guess if you include the $399 XB1 announcement xbox wins. Looking forward to the White Xbox One Sunset Overdrive bundle that is likely to come too, shame it won't be a proper special edition.

MCC will move more money than Destiny on PS4 I believe (including the white console). So Microsoft.

Except that all those consoles will get people to buy even more PS4 games which means even more money.

Sony no competition. Just look at the Amazon top 20

If it is about who will raise more the sales because of E3 Sony, if it's about who will sell more from here to the end of 2014 even more to Sony side.
