This reminds of a thread from very long ago saying that Samus should be in a Mario Kart game.

I would play as Tatanga or E. Gadd, definitely.

more DK characters... DK is just a mario spinoff so thats okay...

Nope. MK is already fucked as far as characters go. The original idea was based on the concept of "what do people in the mushroom kingdom do for fun when they aren't involved in princess kidnapping/rescuing". Now that Link and Animal Crossing etc. are in the game, it's totally fucked up and doesn't need anything to make it worse.

The same goes for SSB. It was originally cool because we finally got to see NINTENDO characters beating the hell out of each other in combat. But I mean, when you throw in Snake and Cloud? Come on... it's just... it loses it's identity.

I don't see how adding characters from Animal Crossing and Legend of Zelda in Mario Kart 8 makes the series "totally fucked up." Same thing with having Cloud and Snake in Smash Bros.
