Ok so by now we should all know a xbox one bundle without the kinect is coming in June.  So now that Microsoft has dumped the 1 main selling feature that the ps4 didn't have, what does Microsoft really have to set it apart from the PS4???  I thought that the Kinect was the standout feature and the main reason to buy a Xbox One over the Ps4, so now what?  They are now the same price but multiplats apparently run better on PS4 so why would anyone choose MS? The only real reasons that I could see are that they either like the exclusive games(halo/gears/ryse/etc..) or they just like xbox live better then psn for some reason.

Let's not forget that there is still a Kinect SKU and standalone Kinect coming in the fall.

But I'd say there is no benefit other than a competitive price. The fact that they dropped the price and Kinect together will be a huge factor for those who have not yet purchased the Xbox One but are Xbox fans. (Like myself. To be honest though, I want the SKU with Kinect).

None of those are distinguishing features, because they are common among all the console manfactures. Brand Loyalty also tends to get usurped by popular appeal.

Anyways, I guess the benefit would be the people that complained about being "forced to buy kinect" have nothing to complain about. And well obviously the exclusives are what sets them apart, as well as the whole TV thing.

You can still get the kinect. The X1 still has more and better exclusives so far. Plus it has all those TV functions as well.

You are anwsering the question in your OP... Even if you believe that the only differentiators are exclusives and Xbox Live being better (or so you are pointing out that other people may believe that), it is enough to choose the Xbox One over the Playstation 4 if you are interrested into those perks...

But then you have other perks like TV Integration (HDMI In), Twitch integration, controller (you know people may actually prefer the Xbox One one...), Microsoft Eco-System (Skype, OneDrive, etc...) etc...

Many many reason to choose one over the other... (same goes for the PS4 by the way).

Edit: Also, Kinect is still available to buy later...

Lower price is all.

So, $399.99 for a weaker PS4, practically.

It would be a lot more competitive at $349.99, but baby steps and all.

These are games that won't be on PS4. Its worth owning an Xbox One just to play the exclusive games just like the PS4 and Wii U. This should be obvious.
