thats a stupid idea, we all will buy zero samus anyway^^

LOL! That's hilarious. Anyway, the OP was very well written. I never even thought about all that before but it might actually work. We won't know until we try it. Seeing as I started gaming in the Gameboy Color and N64 era, I don't care much for most of the older, ignored franchises now. I'd just push for a new Metroid.

Wait a second...you started in the N64 era, and you DON'T want a new Star Fox? What's wrong with you? And for that matter F-Zero was on N64, GBA, and Gamecube as well, so you should be caring about it too.

This is actually a good idea, assuming that a wide variety of these figurines are actually made. Assuming we get figurines for series we want, it's probably more effective than petitions saying "make AAA game in niche series" would be. The main downside would likely be if the figurines themselves suck or are of limited use. Still, for $5, or $10 for a higher quality piece of merchandise, it would not be a bad deal even if the plan fails.

I'm glad at least you thought this was a good idea. I expected more people to like this idea, but it seems for the most part no one gives a shit about the prospect. Or maybe all my threads are just doomed to fail...

I wouldn't worry too much about a thread "failing." Half of the threads I make "fail" too. Remember, the average thread on VGChartz never gets more than 40 posts (based off of 10 seconds of mental math).

In my opinion, this thread was far from a failure. Even if most people disagreed with the idea, it brought a new idea to peoples' attention and convinced a few of them. That's a success in my book. Not as much of one as I'd like, but still a victory.

Thanks man. I was pretty excited about this idea though. I wasn't so much concerned with posts as I was with the number of individuals each with their own things they'd want to use this sort of idea for, showing interest in it. I'm not much of a social media leader, and it's still early to know if the idea would work with what Nintendo has planned anyway, but if a lot of people had shown interest, I was actually considering putting some sort of movement together once I had a better idea of what would be possible. I still might try again later after E3 hopefully creates some hype. And again, it might all be for naught, since what Nintendo reveals could render this idea obsolete in some way I can't imagine, so maybe people don't want to get their hopes up yet. I think it's best to wait for Nintendo to make the next move for now.
