This is actually a good idea, assuming that a wide variety of these figurines are actually made. Assuming we get figurines for series we want, it's probably more effective than petitions saying "make AAA game in niche series" would be. The main downside would likely be if the figurines themselves suck or are of limited use. Still, for $5, or $10 for a higher quality piece of merchandise, it would not be a bad deal even if the plan fails.

Love and tolerate.

good. show it to nintendo!
i would help.

Nintendo is already making a Star Fox & Metroid & F-Zero (well, working on F-Zero) for the Wii U.

The F-Zero game will be the last one most likely, so after Wii U, no more.

I personally hope they are making any Star Fox & Metroid for 3DS, and I can see that a Metroid will most likely come to 3DS realistically.

So don't worry, but the F-Zero game might come out in 2020 on their next Home Console, depending on how long it takes them to come up with everything else for the final F-Zero game.

I'd buy a Captain Falcon figurine. I also want a new F-Zero (and Ubisoft wants Nintendo to do it!

Guillaume: As for Wii U, as a gamer I'm already anticipating the release of games from popular Nintendo series. I'm particularly excited about Zelda, naturally, but also F-Zero! (Laughs)

Iwata: Thank you very much! (Laughs)

So Iwata knows it, he's also laughing about it though.

Yep.

Doh! Why the hell didn't I put that in the poll! Dammit! >.<

But hey, if they do Smash character figurines, there should be a Ness one, right? So maybe we could do this.

Interesting indeed. I know I'll be buying lots of those, but I am not expecting Nintendo to come up with Fzero or Star fox figurines on a first or second batch unfortunately...

Well hey, if they do figurines for Smash, Fox should be fairly soon. If they do it by franchise, obviously Mario first, Zelda second, but what other franchise (besides Pokemon) has enough characters to have it's own batch? Worst case scenario, Star Fox would be third batch. He's a Smash veteran since the first game, and I'm pretty positive they're going to do something with Smash. Same logic applies to Captain Falcon.

As huge of a fan as I am, and as much collector's blood as I have running through my veins, I'm really eager to see these figurines. If they're cool then this could totally be something I end up spending a few bucks on and using.

I didn't know I'd actually be interested or want to know more about this NFC thing, but I have hopes. I won't be sore if they aren't fulfilled, because I don't expect much, but they could potentially grab me.
Oh and my answer is Custom Robo, 100%. Like they'd even make a Ray MK figure...
So Metroid's what I want to see!

Shoot, I didn't even think of Custom Robo! Hmm...well, if they do in fact do things for Smash, maybe they'd do an assist trophy series? Ray MK was an assist trophy in Brawl if I recall, maybe it'll return. If anything, that'd be even more effective than buying a playable character figurine, because Nintendo could just think it was a popular playable character, they couldn't misinterpret a mass buying of the assist trophy. Of course, this is probably wishful thinking and they'd likely not do an assist trophy series, but hey, we can dream!
