I do legally own all of my games, movies, and shows, yes.

Moreover, I don't find the excuse that everyone else is doing it to be very convincing.

I'm not trying to pick a fight. I'm just pointing out that what you're endorsing is illegal.

My apologies to OP for going off-topic, but this is important to me.

I will make ROMS if I please out of anything on these shelves and more that wouldn't fit in the picture, thank you very much.  I bought it, I own it.  End of discussion.

Saving SNES RPGs to SD card instead of replacing 20 year old SRAM batteries and not having to risk damaging boxes among other things.

PS wow that pic is old, missing so much like a complete PS4 library and 6 more shelves with PS3 JRPG CEs etc :D

Technically, you can make a ROM backup of your own physical games. You're entitled to an archival copy in case your original, copyrighted game suffers catastrophic damage.

It is illegal, however, to share and download those ROMs over the internet.

I didn't realize the 1000 series was no longer being manufactured

!!!

I didn't either!

I got mine a few months back for $100 on ebay, used but in perfect working condition. I really love the hardware but I don't have much time to play it.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

I would get one now while there are still a couple of the original model out. I've only seen 2 in stock. The original's screen is vastly superior, imo.

Also, even if you don't plan on playing it, it's sure to be a collector's item soon, so you could sell it for a huge profit in a few years if you wish.

I don't know about this :/

Not too many were made, and if it's in unopened you could probably get $350 or more easily. Having a superior screen also helps.

If you can get your hands on a 3G/wifi model, it'll probably be worth even more.
