Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Fry’s Slices $100 Off the Xbox One + Titanfall + Forza 5 Bundle; Drops it to $460

Point is, that's not the price everywhere. Only at those specific retailers. If $560 for the bundle was "outdated" and everywhere else is $450 (which isn't true), what difference, then, is it from a "complete nationwide price cut and bundle" if everywhere else is selling it at the price cutted mark? If $450 is the price that XBone has to be at (and if sold at a higher price (i.e. the official price) anywhere else is being "outdated"), then only 5 months from release with 2 games bundled....I'd say the "ammo" is justified.

Ok I remember you now. You were the poster saying MS at launch should have had up to the second information about sales in every store and adjust their shipments accordingly. So it seems you still don't know how retail works, but that's ok. It doesn't have to "be the price everywhere" for it to be an outdated, non-competitive price. Walmart is the biggest brick and mortar retailer, and AFAIK Amazon is the biggest online retailer. It's $450 for either bundle there. About the closest big retailer in competition with Fry's is Best Buy, and it is $450 there. It seems strange to have to explain something so simple and downright common sense but Xbone hate brings out some lulz in people.

Also, whether the "ammo" is justified or not is entirely off the point. It is about the shifting goal posts people have, and how people change their opinions or emphasis on things to suit their agenda. It's sad to see. Take you for example. In this thread you're making it out to seem like I should not imply the Xbox One has been cut in price and/or bundled at many retailers, and yet in this post you touch on how it HAS been bundled and the price cut at "pretty much every major retailer". It is extremely funny to see though, so thanks for the laugh. Nothing else for me to say on the matter.

I didn't say they should have "up to the second" info on sales, and adjust their shipments accordingly. All I ever said was that MS was claiming "we're sold out at most retailers", but a quick glance at Walmart.com, Target.com, BestBuy.com etc (or rather, Wiilerts.net, NowInStock.com, etc.). at the time would show anyone that that wasn't the case. I didn't say that they should know the exact sales of every store. They should just be able to see which retailers have them in stock because every major retailer TELLS YOU when they have it in stock.

On topic, you can keep claiming that I don't know how retail works. I mean, because one retailer (Walmart) drops price and a few others price match, me saying that all the other places that haven't aren't "outdated" means I don't know how retail works? So, should every retailer price match whenever one retailer has a sale? In that case, MSRP doesn't determine the price; it should all be one big chain reaction once one place has a sale specific to their store. Because that's how retail works, right? Ok, next time I see that stereo drops in price at Walmart because they have a rollback, I expect it to drop in price everywhere else, and everyone who doesn't is being "outdated".

And I'll admit, I was incorrect in that post in the other thread with regard to that comment. I assumed that it was $450 everywhere (like you are right now) because that's what everyone is talking about. And how the "value puts the One at $390". When I made that post, I didn't look to see that Fry's (until now) GameStop, Toy'R'Us, Newegg, HH Gregg, Meijer, etc. were selling them at $500, and weren't caught up in the 'let's drop to $450' craze. Maybe instead of saying "XBone sales are bad even with pricecuts" I should have just said "XBone sales are bad, period". Does that make you feel better? I mean, my point of the sales being bad remains the same, so there's no "change in agenda". Anyway, it was my own laziness for not verifying my information, so I apologize for being incorrect in that generalization. But me being incorrect doesn't change the fact that the XBone isn't $450 everywhere, and therefore a bundle that comes with 2 games for $560 isn't "outdated".

I think $399 with no game would be more of a sales boon than $450 with 2 games myself. There's something about the $400+ barrier that seems tough.

Truth

how many times retailers need to cut the Xone's price until people accept that the console is having demand issues?

Alot evidently. lol

Forzas are always bundled with another game .
Forza is king of bundling

The nearest Fry's to me is about 4 hours away and the offer is in store only.  I did find one thing interesting though, they still have PlayStation Vita 3G/Wi-Fi Launch Bundles in stock :)))

Stop hating and start playing.
