Forums - Gaming Discussion - Why did the announcement of The Crew next gen parity not get nearly as much attention as the Trials Fusion disparity?

I noticed a few days ago The Crew was announced to be 1080P/30 FPS on both X1 and PS4 http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=798536

Today Trials Fusion was announced at 1080/60 on PS4 and 900/60 on X1. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=800427

Yet the Crew Announcement recieved staggeringly less attention. Only 9 pages thread on Neogaf for a 3+ days old thread, where the Trials resolution discussion has already surpassed that (10 pages so far) in a hour, and will continue to be swarmed for a good while I'm sure.

Actually I should say it's mostly Neogaf, this forum is not immune but it doesn't seem as bad. Neogaf is teh biased?

So people just like bad news for xbox or what?

I think all the people who like Xbox are busy playing their console because it actually has games, and the PS4 people are forced to enjoy hating on Xbox until the next big release for their system: a 'remaster' of the big PS3 game they've already played.

What are you doing here then? Or you don't have an Xbox One?

the crew apparently will have micro transaction for better gear (pay to win) and maybe always online for single player races at this point people probably lost interest in it

What single player races? Maybe I'm not up to date, but it was my understanding that this game is an online only racer. I didn't think it even has single player races

It does have single player componenents, it's just you have to be online.

You don't have to play with other people though, so idk why you have to be online lol.

I see

Well it's probably because the whole point of the game is that they WANT you to run into other players constantly. I mean I really don't see the big deal here. It was quite obvious to me from the moment they announced it that the only people that would really end up being interested in this game are people who wanna race in an online world filled with people. Not someone looking to drive around the map by themselves.

Whatever....I'm way off thread topic

Because after all the 1080p 30fps/60fps Xbox One game announcements this is the thing that finally gets people back to saying X1 is underpowered.

You act as if there has been a plethora of 1080P Xbox One games recently.

Recently there's been announcements. Like Strider, Tomb Raider, Kinect Sports Rivals, Wolfenstein, Sniper Elite (New SDK helped), The Crew and I'm sure a good majority  of the downloadable titles. Haven't counted though. There's just been more 1080p announcements lately than sub-1080p.

But then we have TitanFall, Watch Dogs, Trials Fusion, Most likely Dying Light, as they've only confirmed 1080P on PS4, Thief, Plants Vs. Zombies, etc.

Could have put MGS in Dying Light's place since it isn't confirmed yet. But yeah it seems that on both sides of the spectrum we have devs that can hit that 1080p mark and we have devs that can't.

Yeah I'm with you on that. Not sure why someone would want to drive around the world all by themselves. The game is most likely funner with crews...Hence the name ^^

The irony huh

I think people are getting tired of the resolution arguments anyways. It's clear that the PS4 will have better looking multiplats this gen. We didn't have a discussion for every game that performed better on the 360 than the PS3.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Damn he got banned...I was looking forward to his reply, because I'm pretty sure he has an Xbox One.
