Forums - Gaming Discussion - Buying a second console

oh, and a ps4.

How much have you got to spend?

If someone said buy a console to complement your xbox one and I previously had a 360 and then gave me £150 I'd probably buy a ps3 and wii. It really depends on what games you like though.

Considering you already owned a X360, it kinda stands to reason you've had access to all of last gen's primary games... which include the larger mass of PS360 libraries. Therefore, it doesn't make sense to really consider either of those options unless its very cheap and you only wanted the 1st party Sony games you never played.

To me the best gaming option is the Wii U.
- ALL Wii games access
- ALL Wii U games access current and future
- Online is free, so no additional costs beyond games

Those two are a huge plus for that one console.

PS3, you'd have a huge library of exclusives you missed out for a good price. Wii u doesn't worth the spend yet, unless you really want to play nintendo games of it or Wii.

Wii u. Cos there pretty cheap anyway and some killer wii and wii u exclusives think zelda and mario. I got a wii u and ps3 and my ps3 aint been turned on since I got my wii u in december.

I'd go for the Wii U personally. MK8, SSB, X, and Bayonetta 2 make the Wii U worth the purchase. PS3 is a distant second because it has Persona 5 coming sometime next year (West).

Based off of your OP I'd say:

Wii U > PS3 > XB 360

You said you miss playing Nintendo games and you never had the Wii. You would get to play many great Wii games for cheap now and get access to the upcoming Wii U games.

The PS3 would also be a fine choice considering you stated there are some PS exclusives you'd like to play. Though, investing in a system that will only get less support from here on out might not be worth it. (Since the PS3 is still a good amount of money)

The XB 360 would be a pretty bad choice honestly considering you already had one and sold it for the XBO. It's your money though.

I have a PS4 and a Wii U and imo that is the best duo of consoles you could ask for. The generation will keep moving forward so there's no point in going backward especially since you've already owned an X360. If you really want a PS3 you will not be disappointed at all, but at this point the generation is moving forward so I'd invest into the Wii U if you haven't done so already.

Out of those options, I'd say a Wii U would do you good. It looks like it'll be a decent secondary console.

If you don't care about having a ton of JRPGs then go with the Wii U.
