Good review, for a great game.

You know, when I first read over this, I thought the title said "Final Fantasy III (SNES)", so I thought you were talking about FF VI. I was all like, "characters 7/10? An 80 final score?" I came thiiis close to excommunicating you.

You know, though, I've never played FF III and know next to nothing about it.

Play the DS one. Awesome game.

 

Though...story is pretty much nonexistant. That's the only thing I don't agree with Basil's review. It should be 5/10 at best...

Nice review, Basil.... Wait! I just noticed that Final Fantasy IX is missing from the " other games in the series" list! Blasphemy!

I actually don't like FF3. Too many parts that require you to use different classes, whether it's so you can cast toad on your party, or so you can actually kill enemies as examples. That, and it's the most grind heavy game in the series while the combat system even on max speed has the slowest animations.  I'd give it a 5/10.
