Microsoft Has So Much to Show at E3 They’re Having to “Move Stuff Out” of the Show

The Xbox One is set to make a bang at this year’s E3 if Phil Spencer’s latest Tweets are any indication.

According to Spencer, the Microsoft press conference is already exceeding the 90 minute time limit and they are currently being forced to cut stuff from the show. Thankfully, it’s sounding like Microsoft won’t focus too much on the extra stuff that Xbox One has to offer during it’s press conference so they can put a majority of the focus on gaming software. Last year’s E3 wasn’t too shabby as compared to previous years, so we have high hopes it’ll be another great show.

We wouldn’t complain too much however if we got a trailer for that upcoming Halo series they’re working on making.

  1. @XboxP3 will this years E3 conference be as game focused as last years?

@PotentialyGreat Yes, I think you'll see very few execs. We are already over our 90 minute time limit and having to move stuff out of show.

As you can probably guess, we’ll be seeing a lot of new stuff from Microsoft at E3, including information on Sunset Overdrive which Spencer noted today that we wouldn’t be getting any information on the game before E3.

  1. @XboxP3 can we expect to see or know any info about Sunset Overdrive b4 E3?

@FahimRaian Nothing on this before E3.

Spencer also answered a question regarding DX12, saying that some features are already in the system, but “full DX12 is coming”.

  1. @XboxP3 How does DX12 specifically enhance Xbox One games, Anuj Gosalia seemed to downplay the importance of DX12 for Xbox One titles.

@Nicodemus9 DX12 will have impact on XBOX One games written for DX12. Some DX12 features are already in XBOX One but full DX12 coming.

We here at OnlySP are eagerly awaiting new information on Sunset Overdrive, Quantam Break and of course the next Halo project so be sure to stay tuned to OnlySP for all the latest on those titles and of course, anything single player related.

Hm... this could go either way.

Another press conference before E3 would be impressive.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Why don't they make it longer then? I'm pretty sure Sony did 2 hours last year.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

It was hard for me to watch sony's E3 despite it was a blast. Personally I prefer 1.30 hour jam packed show with lots of announcements. And I dont like any "non-gaming" stuffs at E3 show.

I think he said the whoever runs E3 restricts them to 90 minutes.

Really? Is that a new rule?

Agreed. They need to stop the whole Kinectimals/Wonderbrook crap. Casuals don't watch E3.

I dont understand why they would move stuff out of the show if they have it just make the show longer!

It's not new, but I'd imagine Sony last year either talked them into a longer show or else just went longer than planned.

I love E3 and I love that the hype is already building. I don't care for the content of tweets like this since they really mean nothing, but they do let imaginations fly. Time to get back on the hype train!

Microsoft really should have alot to show assuming the rumors are true:

  • Quantum Break gameplay
  • Sunset Overdrive gameplay
  • Fable Legends gameplay
  • Forza Horizon 2 gameplay
  • Halo 2 Anniversary gameplay
  • Halo 5 beta announcement and possibly pre-alpha gameplay or another teaser trailer
  • Multiple Japanese exclusives as mentioned by Phil Spencer
  • New games from Microsoft's unaccounted for 1st party studios (Good Science Studio, Kids and Lifestyle Entertainment, Leap Experience Pioneers, Playful Learning, Xbox Live Productions, Lift London, Soho Productions, BigPark)
  • Possible 2nd/3rd party exclusive announcements
  • Possible teaser trailers for Gears of War, Crackdown 3, and Lionhead's new IP
  • Xbox TV announcements
  • Indie games (several studios signed on to ID@Xbox haven't announced games yet, including big name indie devs like Playdead)

Damn that is quite the list of potential things we could see at E3.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

Mehh i rather see stuff then be told of things never seen.

They better show Halo5
