Such a tough question they both are insanely amazing.
Im gonna have to go with 3d world though. i really like they way they fused jazz into it.

donkey kong tf does have the better songs, but i feel 3d world is more consistant

I feel exactly the opposite ;)

I think 3D World had many great songs but there were a little too many remixes for my liking. Also most of them were boring compared to previous efforts in Galaxy, in my opinion...

Also, most of the music I liked in 3D World were in hidden stages so I haven't discovered them until recently. That's why I feel the music wasn't very consistent compared to the godlike arrangements in Tropical Freeze. TF had a few "remixes", or very different arrangements of previous games, and even then they were incorporated in other new songs. Other than the temple songs of course, but it is DKC after all.

David Wise did a phenomenal job in TF, like he's always done. 3D World's music was by no means bad, but I feel it wasn't as good.
