Got it on Steam 1 year+ ago for $4 including dlc. It was average overall, had bugs(camera, vehicles floaty physics, button mashing). Story was ok. Series has potential though.

I used a 360 wireless controller, since the game is more fighter than shooter. There are combo's, but you can buttonmash your way through it. Gameplay wise there are camera issues when driving. And the vehicles handle poorly, bad in driving missions. Motorcycles are even worse.
This thread makes me want to have a pork bun
“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Bad camera? I had no problems with camera in the PC version with wired Xbox gamepad and the game looked and worked great on max settings on my oldish pc.
Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

but camera is clunky when in a vehicle.
Just like someone else in here, I tried it although skeptical because GTA does nothing for me. I've played a bit of SA and IV and I dropped both games after several hours in. I really don't see what is so awesome about them.
Sleeping dogs on the other hand, very well told story, driving around was a lot of fun, overall nice combat and beautiful 'lifelike' HongKong. Oh yeah I really liked the voice-acting. There was a lot of good to be found in Sleeping dogs, so I platinumed it.
I'd go for a sequel as long as they keep it as far away from GTA as possible.
