Just like someone else in here, I tried it although skeptical because GTA does nothing for me. I've played a bit of SA and IV and I dropped both games after several hours in. I really don't see what is so awesome about them.
Sleeping dogs on the other hand, very well told story, driving around was a lot of fun, overall nice combat and beautiful 'lifelike' HongKong. Oh yeah I really liked the voice-acting. There was a lot of good to be found in Sleeping dogs, so I platinumed it.
I'd go for a sequel as long as they keep it as far away from GTA as possible.
