Didnt read because Gamespot. Sorry.

Why did you come into the thread then? The Title of the thread cleary says "Gamespot: Nintendo's Plan to Quietly kill the Wii U"??????? Did you not read the title either and just click of the thread with your eyes closed?

Oh my god I LOVE YOU. Thanks for this. Also to all the others if you don't care about gamestop and its' opinions why click?

It's just annoying, they know who wrote it before clicking and then say things like that. If they don't like the articles ignore them and they will go away, Keep clicking on them and they will stay around because they get hits.

If Nintendo pulls the plug on Wii U in 2016, that would mean that they would be starting to show off the "new" console this year.

what? Wii U was announced a year before it released. Sony and ms announced theirs less than that.

I didn't say "show off."  I said "starting."  As in there will be definite clues to the release of the console 2 years before.  Just because we didn't see them doesn't mean we didn't know they were coming real soon.  If we don't get a sign that the next Nintendo system is coming (a clear sign), I don't think 2016 is a reasonable time to expect the next console release from Nintendo.

Yes, because Gamespot is the place to get your legit, unbiased and fairly rationalized articles.

Smart of them to end the bleeding. Better luck next round.

Gamespot is right this time, Wii U succesor will be released late 2015 previous trends back their prediction, Nintendo can't support a failure for years the best is to cut loses and re-position itself.

At least what Soundwave said could be argued.  Unless you're joking, there's no way that would happen.  If it will be released late 2015, then that would mean Nintendo would have already finished designing their product around now and be using the remainder of 2014 and 2015 to both start development and manufacture many systems.  Also, doing this would very likely make them lose much more money than if they were to do it 2016.

Whenever someone writes an article and they think of putting Vitality Sensor in it, they just need to stop right there. Put down the pencil, take your hands off the keyboard, just stop.

Tag it, I stand by my 2015 prediction. Well see for sure in a year.

This actually make a lot of sense. Let's see:

Virtual boy followed the sames steps, with every new number of nitnendo power with less space for the thing.

Nintendo don't care about the how PS4 and x1 is doing the things.

Nintendo don't care about thirdy party desires.

Myamoto areadly said that they would draw resources to make software for QoL plattaform, to have fun on their software.

Iwata stated on last Q&A that they wouldn't try to push wiiu with huge marketing efforts like they did last christmas, since that didn't really worked out as they planned. So, doesn't look like they really expect their profits to raise on base of wiiu.

So yeah, it make senses on some ways.

And i don't like gamespot either, but i really have to deliver props for then. For the first time ever i see a Nintendoom article that not state: "nintendo will develop for PS4 and x1 like sega", "nintendo will releasea console like ps4 and x1", "nintendo will develop for mobiles now", "nintendo will get rid of the gamepad and give price drop to the machine","nitnendo will give us a PSN+ like service, but with VC stuff"

So i will believe on this guy for once. And i still believe that the plattaform will hold something like is on my signature.

TIP: This thread will so much from 1,5 year from now...

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."
