Just like the title says.  Which one will sell more in Japan on PS3? 

Is the Tales fan-base still hungry for more PS3 entries?   Xillia 2 sold less then its predecessor.

It’s been quite a few years since a main Persona entry, is the fan-base ready for more?  I think so.

Also, will PS4 interfere with either games sales?  Both titles launch in Japan in 2014 on PS3.

What’s everyone’s take on this one?   I think Persona 5 will take it.   :)

Not sure. Persona series has gained a lot of attention since P4 and P5 might gain a good amount of hype.

While some Tales games do better than others. I mean Xillia did become the best selling game in the series (according to Namco).

I'm going with Tales.

Persona 5.

Its a tough one. Tales at its best is bigger than Persona in Japan. But, Persona 5 has been a long time coming and theres new Tales games yearly.
It really depends on how the Japanese really liked Tales of Xillia. If it sold like that, then i could see Tales selling more, but im predicting more inthe 500k range, much to Baba's despair.

Now persona, i am expecting to hit the 500k aswell (P4G sold 300k on the Vita alone). So its a really difficult call.
I think they will end up selling on similar ammounts, unless one of them somehow messes something up big time.
I can tell for example that as a Tales fan, im more worried about the new combat system than pleased. Can be good, or it can be a dud like ToGraces. If they had gone for a 2D one, it would've been easier to predict.

Persona 5

Persona 5 will be up on Persona 4 I think, but I don't think it'll beat Tales.
