They've got COD, WoW, and Skylanders all making tons of money. I really doubt they care about Titanfall.

I think the OP more meant that Activision could be annoyed at Microsoft for spending time/money on the deal to make another shooter exclusive to the Xbox format while Microsoft/Activision are already fairly cosy with each other for CoD map packs and exclusive stuff also.

I think after Ghost MS sees that COD is a dying repetitive franchise.

After Ghosts Activision even said they were going to treat the CoD franchise with the respect it deserves and make sure each game has a 3 year dev cycle rather than the 2 year cycle which ghosts got for a pc/ps3/ps4/xbox360/xbox1/wiiu version of the game. It was never going to be that great straining itself that much in so little time.

MS think of COD as a dying repetitive franchise as much as Activision think of XB1 as a dying out-of-date console.

Bother? I think the opposite. Ea and MS are trying their hardest to position Titanfall as a COD killer, but by keeping it off the currently best selling next and last gen platforms they have guaranteed that its first iteration won't be available for millions of COD players, seriously limiting the series' growth, as well as giving Destiny a prime opportunity to pick up the slack when it comes to new shooter IPs on Playstation.

What if instead of a CoD killer it became a Halo killer? It's only available on Xbox and pc and... Lets face it Halo has peaked, Bungie left and MS is looking for another big franchise.

There can only be a CoD killer if the game is multiplat and Titanfall wont be available on the best selling next gen console and PS3, the version for 360 that has 80m install base is getting the game weeks later.

The exclusivity will cripple Titanfall.

Well then I wonder what they think of Wii U.

A Nintendo console built by Nintendo for Nintendo with bad online infrastructure and no existing audience for online shooters.

Or a hooker.

One of those.

So what possesses them to make COD for it?

Activision thinks of XB1 as a console they can sell millions of games on.

Activision must see Titanfall as a potential threat to take some sales, but I'm sure they feel the same way about BF.

My guess is Activision will keep doing what it does until CoD sales start to drop.
