several others have said they can't do a monthly game so what if it was like this...  4 games a year per system but offset.  multiconsole owners can join for multiple systems if you want to do more than 4 a year but slow pokes like me don't feel over pressured either if i only do sony games. so:

a nintendo game kicks off in: january, april, july, october.

a sony game kicks off in: feburary, may, august, november.

a ms game kicks off in: march, june, september, december

..or some varient thereof.  we should probably make room for multiplats too.  hrmm.

I like this premise a lot. It allows everyone to have a few months. And those who have all systems can participate every month, if they so choose.

@everyone: what do you think of kitler's idea? Also, how should the games be selected within each month? Majority rules? Or should every member get to pick a game of his/her choice in order?

I think this is a good idea, but seeing how I play fewer console games than I used to I wonder if there's room for PC games anywhere. I have a feeling it'd be a little too crowded.

The logistics of this are probably the biggest sticking point; what games are selected and how. Giving the participants a stake in the process without defeating the purpose of the idea will be...difficult.

I'd of course love to do something like this.

And what are you waiting for? Go purchase it!

This sounds neat.

But why limit this to 1 game during 1 period of time? Seeing how people like different types of games on different systems, why not have a few of these things running simultneously...?

They'd have to be in separate threads, of course, to avoid cluttering up of posts and confusion. You could, say, have a thread for Titanfall on X1, another for Donkey Kong on Wii U, another for Infamous on PS4, and yet another for a PC game. Maybe a fifth one for some smaller indie title, or a multiplatform or handheld game?

I don't know, just throwing my point of view out there.

The Wii U isn't worth it yet, will likely buy one later this year or next.

I like this idea. Count me in. Though I can't promise i'll beat a game in certain time.

Systems: Wii, PS2, Saturn, Genesis, Master System II (it must be somewhere) and a crappy PC. Plus a PS1 with the lens broken and a Dreamcast with reset problems.

I'm in. Sounds like fun.

PS1, PS2, PSP, PS3, PS4, PC.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

I love the idea. Not sure if I have enough free time.

But still great idea.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

A month is more than enough I think, but how would this work when a lot of people might only be dedicated to one console or another.

I'm in. Anything Sony, Nintendo, or Sega past generations except Wii.  Portables included.
