Wow just saw this on GAF. Amazing sales by both consoles. Can't actually believe Sony has shipped so many consoles here, they are so hard to find! My store (supermarket) has only had a total of 36 units since launch (27 launch + 1 shipment of 9 about two weeks ago).

I'm just making the point this extra source of revenue can be used to help subsidise the console purchase price.

No the Xbox one is more expensive if not just for its size alone eating up manufacturing and shipping costs. Power/parts are a factor but not the rule of price. The Kinect also has more inside of it this time, processing is done internally as well.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

Some perspectives from the numbers...

November: 250k PS4 / 170k Xbone
December: 280k PS4 / 195k Xbone

PS4 sold 70k per week in December... Xbone sold 48k per week in December.

Xbone is fulll of stock in UK right now... PS4 sold out in every place.

The gap will be bigger in the next months... PS4 have a chance to put over 2:1 ration in UK.

45% advantage is a 1,45:1 ratio, or close to 3:2.

Financialy it is 180:140 or 9:7 or close to 5:4.

I think you tagged many of my forecasts, please, find then. I wasn´t the one predicting 3 to 1 sales WW. :)
