Forums - Gaming Discussion - Why is your preferred console your preferred console?

Wii U because, Nintendo Games are always fantastic and incredible games. Super MArio 3D world is very cool

Zelda - Breath of the Wild for Nintendo Switch.... Incredable!!!

Wii U

- First party software (From Nintendo Land to Super Mario 3D World, the Nintendo-developed titles have been wonderful; a somewhat slow, but strong first year. Pikmin 3 was hands-down my favorite game this year.)
- great variety (I can play party games with my niece and nephews, hunt monsters with others my age online, or try to escape a post-apocalyptic London on my own)
- eShop (mainly the sales - Wii Shop Channel this is not! And next year & beyond for the indie titles... then there's Virtual Console; most certainly going to expand next year with other platforms)
- Miiverse (mainly for the general goofiness and incredible artistry....and if it wasn't for Miiverse, EarthBound wouldn't have released in the Americas and Europe. Also... Dafoeverse...)
- The Gamepad (though the first week or so was discombobulating and despite it's battery capacity, the gamepad has become my favorite gaming controller)
- Older games with Gamepad enhancements (Wind Waker and Deus Ex, I'm looking at you)
- Local Multiplayer (Since the N64, Nintendo have been the kings of local multi)

Agreed, though to be perfectly fair, they've kind of been the kings of local multiplayer since the NES. Super Mario Bros., Dr. Mario, Double Dragon II, TMNT II/III, Battletoads, Rampage, etc. And even moreso with the SNES, SFII, Mortal Kombat, Mario World, DKC, Kirby's Super Star, Final Fight 2 & 3, Super Mario Kart, etc.

N64 just upped that ante with 4 players. :)

I like PS for first party games. I like Nintendo for family fun and I like Xbox for online games.

Playstation:

1) Unrivaled and Unique exclusives.

2) Excellent hardware.

3) Incredible online value (FREE or PS+)

PC:

1) Incredibly cheap compared to consoles and yet as powerful as you want it to be.

2) I can play all my games forever (Ultimate backwords compatibility)

3) Ease of use.

4) Mods

Unlike some people I don't stay loyal to one company

6th gen PS2 was my favorite by FAR! Best Library IMO

Last gen Xbox 360 was my preferred console. Great Online, great UI, Halo.

Anything can happen this gen, we'll see.

You're right - there was also the NES Four Score that enabled 4 player games (Super Spike V'Ball, Nintendo World Cup, Super Off Road) then of course the SNES Bomberman games that made use of a multitap!

PlayStation, because it has the games I like, the controller I like best, the best hardware, ps plus offers me games I'd never have known otherwise, the online players that I like better(sorry Xbox but many of your players are punks) great new IPs each generation, fantastic indie support, plus I've been playing it for seventeen years and have yet to be disappointed.

Nintendo portables because they do it best and the vast majority of their library is very well suited for gaming on the go.

Android because nothing keeps you busy better while on the pot 8p
