Forums - Gaming Discussion - Sony platforms lose Ratchet and Clank exclusivity

wipEout wasn't a Sony game back in the day.

Well, Sony acquired Psygnosis in 1993 - two years before PS1 released (and two years before WipEout first appeared).  Psygnosis continued publishing titles themselves but they were very much part of Sony.

Title is misleading. I suggest changing it before you know what happens. Sony is just pushing for their IP's onto their other platforms.

How is it hard to read? maybe if it was like a baby blue on a yellow background sure but white on black is easy to read.

I dont see the point of the inflamed title vs the article, but i guess thats to be expected now.

Why are you linking me to its wikipedia page? o.O

Edit the title a bit so that it's 100% accurate

I'm providing evidence that Sony owns the IP. That is all.

but sony has launched it so it is still sony exclusive. just not playstation exclusive.

seems like sony wants to help nintendo to find out if it makes sense to release your franchises also on mobile to increase sales on console/handheld

Then it's not exclusive. Sony owned, sure. Sony exclusive? Not if it's on other devices.

I <3 Classic Platformers!

Multi-console Owner FTW

Hopy crap man reading this thread brought out some serious lolz for me.

To me it just seems stupid that a 1st party would release games on plattforms that aren't their own

In other words, NIntendo has been right this whole time?

It may be that Nintendo is simply late to the party.

That's talking about marketing-oriented mobile/tablet activity.  Nothing to do with actual games.  Actual games will only ever be on Nintendo hardware.

The Screamapillar is easily identified by its constant screaming—it even screams in its sleep. The Screamapillar is the favorite food of everything, is sexually attracted to fire, and needs constant reassurance or it will die.

This isn't the first ratchet on ios, also god of war has a mobile game.

I wouldn't consider a temple run R&C losing exclusivity, just like how I still consider God of War Sony platform exclusive even though one is only on phones.
