Being serious for a moment, the Wii U isn't doing so hot. I think we can all agree that its first year has been less than stellar. With that said, it's time to point some things out.
XBONE is tracking even worse.
Let's look at European numbers first.
Week | Wii U | XBONE |
2 | 87,151 | 82,003 |
3 | 64,332 | 63,565 |
Keep in mind, this is Europe; the Wii U's worse region. The Wii, PSP, and even Vita sell better than the Wii U over there on a weekly basis. As shown by these conclusive numbers, the XBONE is worse.
Now I know you might be saying "it's ok, XBONE only needs America. The rest of the world doesn't matter". Well since you bring it up, let's look at America.

Wii U |
XBONE |

315,013 |
3 |
111,100 |
203,659 |
Oh that's not too bad, right? XBONE is doing double to even triple the Wii U.
Think again.
The Wii U so far has done 1,727,014 units in these here United States. What's double that, you might ask? Just 3.45 million. How in the world do you expect XBONE to compete globally with so little sales? Without checking the numbers, everyone knows that the 360 had a much better first year in America and better sales over seas. There go the XBONE's chances of even reaching sales of the worst selling 7th gen home system.
I'll leave you with the most shocking and informative comparison I could find. Japanese launch comparisons.

If you couldn't tell, I'm trying to satirize the many many users that keep forgetting right now sales are all about supply. XBONE and PS4 selling 2 million + is great, but it's a very poor indication of anything really. Also the 360 sold 2,737,574 units its first year in America if you wanted to know.
