Or maybe we just need to accept at this point that without third party Nintendo homeconsoles won't rise. I cannot wait for it to become the FIFA machine in Europe.

I partially agree with you, the Nintendo loyal are there, most of them have the console (me included), but in other to expand the sales they need some third party support, not even full but things like not having FIFA 14 available hurt the sales in Europe and South America, big time. It would be nice to show my friends that they can get not only the great Nintendo franchises but also most of the popular games, CoD is there, same with AC IV, but is missing on FIFA, Battlefield 4 and smaller but nice games like Tomb Raider.

What if Nintendo games don't sell on Nintendo systems?

Nintendo games do sell on Nintendo systems, they just don't seem to sell them. Or more accurately they have already sold them in the case of the Wii U. A chunk of the people who wanted SM3DW already got a Wii U for NSMBU, Pikmin 3 or Zelda.

The issue Nintendo has is that everyone knows what you will get from their system. For the most part you know exactly what franchises you will get on the console, so you can decide on day one whether or not you are getting a Wii U this gen or not. The surprises are whatever third party games they can get, which sway those that aren't swayed by Nintendo alone.

DQ10 did not boost the Wii U.

It's an expension, which sold 70 000 on Wii U. It needs the original to work so it only sold to people who already owned the first one.

This is 100% holiday boost and the Wii U may peak at 100K the biggest weak.

this. +10 and pavolink you are a troll  ;) see you in the next doom thread lol

See you next time!

It didn't boost the Wii U. The game itself, when it released back earlier in the year on Wii U, ony sold 40k first Week, right?

It is just the holidays.

But the 3DS, Vita, PSP, and Wii didn't have much of a bump at all.  The only other console with a nice bump was the PS3.

Hope it keeps like 40k a week. Would be 40k x 12months = 480k a year only in Japan

40k a week will led to an average of 1.92m. Maths ma' boy.

Excatly right, assuming you average over the curious 48 week time span of course.

While the DQX expansion had some impact, the boost is mostly due to mario 3d world, advertising and holidays.
