Yeah, I figured.  The way people made it seem like was that you couldn't post at all.  Then I was thinking "That sucks so much, what would be the point of MiiVerse then?"  

But that, it isn't as bad.  It's still a problem, but you can somewhat get around it by following your friends.  It may be roundabout, but it's not impossible.

Pretty obvious reasons behind this, they don't want the same paedo group who were pestering kids on swapnote to be able to private msg anyone on here. Keeping it all public means that people who browse through things can quickly report posts that a child might not immediately realize are very dangerous. (basically a miiverse drawing of a candy van)

oh if ye didn't see if you open Miiverse on the 3ds while running a game there is an option to include a screenshot of either the bottom or top screen along with your post, Colour me impressed if I'm honest.

For whoever is a champ that's downloaded this already, how do I go about tying my 3DS to my Wii U?

The download and installing went smooth for me =) But I can't write on anybody's wall - or what ever you wanna call it... seems like I can only post something on "my wall" and in communities, but not anybody elses... Is that' supposed to be like that?

When the update's complete, just start Miiverse and it'll prompt you to tie it and the system to your Nintendo Network Account.

Be sure to put in the correct one, because a system can only be tied to one NNID. When that's done, it says the system is now tied and that any eShop credit and stuff like that is merged among all systems with the same NNID. If you haven't got a NNID yet, you can make a new one on 3DS when you open Miiverse.

You're given the option to use a NIntendo ID that you've previously created.
