Lmao I wish Knack fanboys would just admit that the game sold bad and stop trying to damage control by pointing to the fact it outsold mario when both sold really bad in the U.K., its utter desperation. 

Well the GAF thread was saying "a better Final Fantasy than FInal Fantasy". In France it gets perfect scores and the folks in the press are saying it's the new reference for JRPGs, while bashing Xillia or Lightning Returns. That's the kind of thing that irritates me and maybe those awful sales will talk some sense into those people.

How is it better gameplay btw?

a ps4 port would have been better, its too late in a gen to release a system selling title BUT at the same time you have released your new flagship console? its not suprising

GT6 will make a massive profit on the PS3, now, in 2013. A relatively fast development time re-using many of the assets it took them 5 years to build. That's why it's launching there.

They can get another GT out by holiday season 2016, when the PS4 has an install base of over 30m. Anticipation will be huge by that stage, and they'll again make some serious bank.

The alternative would be to hold off on the big profits now, scrap large portions of their engine after it's only been used once or twice and launch to a lower install base with GT6, with GT7 arriving much later in the gen. It's all about timing. GT will sell consoles whenever it arrives.

Maybe WiiU is a flop, but SM3DW is a masterpiece.

Not surprised. I bought 6 copies of GT5 for myself, friends, and family. This time I won't be buying a single copy. The only way I will play this game is if it somehow is playable across the PS4 GaiKai service next fall.

I hate this move by Sony, and really hope low sales tell them to get a PS4 GT game out ASAP. Polyphony may need to see a staff increase to get this thing moving along at a faster clip, because this game needs to be out by 2015 at the latest.

I do hope we stop hearing about it soon though.  Knack is outselling 3DW every week and I'm sure 3DW will have better legs.  There's nothing else to be said.

OT: Bravely Default. Now, I don't really know what to think. On the one hand, I don't expect it to sell that much because it's a niche JRPG in the UK and they've never done well. It probably sold as well as Project x Zone/Dragon's Crown/Persona 4 or somesuch.

But on the other hand, it's a Square-Enix branded; Nintendo-published JRPG that's not on Vita. I'd have expected it to do a little better than this. It won't have legs because it's a JRPG so yeah, not great.

I was pleased to see Tearaway and LittleBigPlanet Vita up in the combined formats chart though. I guess they are games that'll sell over the holidays, moreso than the bigger guns on Vita. Even though I'm sure the numbers are quite low.

Gran Turismo - can't say I'm really surprised. I'll pull the 3DW line of "IT'LL HAVE LEGS" and I'm sure it will, but it's still an disappointing opening week for the franchise (see, was that so hard Nintendo fans?)

Otherwise, boring week. I wonder which PS4 & Xbox one games will perform best over the holidays.

I think most saw this coming, bad time to release it and the game doesn't have enough improvements to justify a purchase unless you are a hardcore sim or GT fan. Ai, career mode, are still lacking.
